There is bipartisan support for sensible, realistic, effective border security. Democrats already passed that bipartisan budget, Trump blew it up. And now the GOP can't even internally agree on a position, much less bring any actual solutions to present to Democrats for a negotiation.

You need to take some spin classes, dude.

True, but faulting Trump for being the first politician in a position to make a difference and take this issue seriously is not fair. Both parties neglected this issue for too long.

I try and hold out hope for people like Knadra - we had some ground-breaking discussions about immigration yesterday. But then he posts these factual lies about the Dems, and it just seems so useless to try and have a conversation with someone so out of touch with reality. And then I start thinking about how to bring the country back together again, and if that's how even moderate Trumpkins think/feel, how can we ever find common ground.

I mean, Knadra literally said the Dems hate the nation. How can you even break ground with kind of insane thinking?

It was disappointing to be sure but there is more to show for it than just that.

The republicans are only the minority party in the house.

No, they didn't. Both parties have put up a number of major immigration reform packages. You're just ignoring that because THE WALL.

He isn’t the first, he is the only one to push for the wall.

Just ignore DACA or the fence Trump keeps mentioning.

"Difference" alone isn't a positive. I mean, he could propose a moat of fire around the US and that would be "different", and threaten to declare a state of emergency (as he's threatening to do now) to get it. His "position" to "make a difference" is threatening to upend normal governance and potentially undermine and ignore Constitutionally separated powers.

Both parties haven't neglected it, there were a handful of attempts at bipartisan comprehensive immigration reform. Republicans have blown it up each and every time.

This was the last attempt and it had passed the Senate with bipartisan support, and Boehner stonewalled it - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gang_o..._(immigration)

This is a losing issue for your narrative.

Except he isn't suggesting anything that will make a difference. Pull your head out of your ass for once.

According to stats only asians commit less crimes than whites. They also on average earn more than whites in america, does that mean there's a asian privilege? Just curious.

Which have all accomplished nothing. Illegals still flood across the border like a plague and frequently overstay their visas. How hard would it be to stop giving work visas to these people? What is the point of E-Verify if companies can still hire illegals with no repercussions?

Maybe you shouldn't post nonsense then.

Now run along and go cry to your mommy about how people online aren't receptive to your nonsense. And for the love of god, go be a snowflake somewhere else, you insecure victim complexers are rather tiresome.

Did you walk into the wrong thread? Or did you just have a stroke?
