The refusing to sign Yaoi was not mentioned anywhere in the article, it was only mentioned by Mignogna in a statement he had made before the article was posted and linked to ANN when they asked for comment for the article. It is by far the least important of the claims made against him.
I will ask once again: if people are so bothered, why haven't they filed a lawsuit against him yet? In the United States, assault includes "unwanted physical contact", not just bodily harm, so anyone could've sued him for just the kissing, hugs, or a hand on their shoulder. This has gone on for almost twenty years now, and yet it seems that Vic hasn't done anything to provoke legal action. All bark and no bite.
Because when a 16 year old fan is assaulted by someone they look up to and respect, quite often they try and brush it off and justify it because they don't want to get someone they like in trouble. Going to the police with something like that is not an easy thing to do so they instead tell someone in their life they trust or, as I already said, will post it on social media in order to test the waters to see if others have had similar experiences. Many times that it how things start. The person in question does things like this over and over but no one speaks up until finally one person does and that gives others the courage to come forward which eventually can lead to legal action. That is exactly what happened with Cosby.
What, in your mind, is going on? Do you think that all of a sudden a bunch of underage girls who are self proclaimed fans of Mignogna just decided to accuse him of assault for attention or something?
He was accused of homophobia in the article, which would seem to be more offensive than consensual touching of shoulders.

No, but I do think as the article reads, they grabbed a bunch of pictures of him with young-looking fans, and accused him of forcing himself on them while downplaying the fact that they have no idea who most of the people are, or whether the contact was consensual or not.
dub fans defend pedophilia behaviour and victim blame, who would've thunk. i always knew those folk weren't right
at least half of the pictures in the article literally have testimonies/explanations from the girls in question. but i guess dub fans aren't used to reading so i don't blame you for missing this
you do realize legal action is costly and time consuming, right? with the actions being relatively minor, it's obviously not worth it. this doesn't make his behaviour any less gross and worth talking about. the pictures alone are disgusting. but he does some shitty voices for your favourite animes so it's alright, right
You're twisting our words. I never once said that it was the "fault" of the people he kissed or hugged without consent. What I did say was that it's the usual outrage culture digging up minor infractions and making them out to be a molester straight out of Hollywood. If Vic had committed a heinous offence, he would've been sued/arrested and kicked out of the industry long ago, and there would be no debate. This isn't about so-called "fanboys" trying to defend their favorite; this is about rational people not willing to hop on the quite frankly ridiculous outrage bandwagon because apparently kissing and hugging fans at a convention for a few moments now apparently makes you a borderline pedophile/rapist/molester. At this point, we'll have to agree to disagree on what is "disgusting".

those are a handful of examples of long term abuse that were covered up by people in power. also sexual assault is vastly under reported for a multitude of reasons
of course though all those people claiming abuse are actually actors who just want attention

This stuff also happens in japan between fellow industry people but they just are afraid of talking over it in fear of losing their jobs.
Granted it's not between a kid and an older person but I'm sure they are also afraid of the consequences it would have like skizzit said.
How would you feel if someone starts kissing you in the neck, without being asked to do so, or starts hugging you inappropriately when you take a picture with them?
It are kids at a con with someone they look up to. Even if you feel weird about it, you wouldn't want to create a fuss about it in public.
And how would you feel if you had kids that suddenly started texting with an adult they had only met for a couple of minutes?
The guy should obviously have known better and he's the only person to blame for his current situation, not those kids.

Watched the first episode of that Special Forces Asuka show. Was pretty brutal. SAO is still okay, Alice a cute. Shieldbro isn't too bad. Got a couple other shows that I want to check out but between baby and teaching a class I don't have time.
I have completely fallen off this season. Started Promised Neverland and Dororo and enjoyed both but stopped to marathon them at the end. Ueno-san is a lot of fun but it is a short and I keep forgetting when it airs. Boogiebop looks great as well but again I want to be able to marathon it and then marathon it again to get the most out of it.
Shield-bro and Revisions both look ok but cannot be bothered. Maybe I will jump back and watch some I missed like that Slime one, Grindman, Radiant, Karakuri Circus, IndexIII, or Bunny Girl Senpai for some reason.

Pretty interesting article about the voice acting scene and the role VAs play in it.
