You’re overthinking it. You don’t keep them at range. Your positioning is the same as everyone else’s. Your abilities are simply ranged.

Which really defeats the whole purpose of the idea. If you can't tank from range, there's no point in developing a "ranged tank."

SW:ToR has them, and you're right, they just have abilities they can use from range, but 99.99% of the time they're still in melee because that's where all the action is and that's where they need to be anyway because of encounter design.

I think that if Calia does something "villainous", it should be along the lines of Yrel and the Lightbound Crusade. You know, trying to mentally dominate people in a peaceful way for the "greater good".

It doesn't say anywhere that she will admit she is wrong. It says she "realizes". But at this point you can expect everything from the clown writers at Blizzard. With Christie Golden at the front of it all.

To me that's just a normal melee tank, so some abilities have extra range on them, you aren't using them at that range and the second you step back to use them you are pretty much not doing your job anymore.
