What's the big deal about calling it? They still haven't called Alaska for Trump, and I don't think anyone believes that's going to go to Biden. Actually, here in Georgia it's having the opposite effect. People that were hard core Trump supporters just a week ago are saying he should just give it up, and want it to be over just as much as anyone. This is anecdotal by the way, but still.

Trump will have a whole weekend to completely embarrass himself. A few republicans are rallying to his side. But not many. McConnell has moved on. Local news is all about what will happen in a Biden Presidency, reminding people that even if democrats take both Georgia runoff and take the Senate, there are like 6 blue dog democrat Senators that will keep any kind of socialism from happening (not their exact words, but that's the point of it).

The longer Trump refuses to concede, the more people, including former Trump supporters, will just want him to go away. Especially if some Trump crazies start acting violently. The media is giving Trump enough rope to hang himself, and he is doing exactly that.

On a non-related note, a lot of democrats are upset that democrats lost House seats in this election.

In Georgia, the take away is:

In 2018, Georgia democrats had VERY impressive gains in their House delegation, especially in suburban areas. In 2020, they held most of these, despite the record turnout of Trump supporters.

Considering the pro-Trump turnout, my current belief is that this election went much better than it could have. Trump did a marvelous job of getting his base out to vote. And he lost anyways.
