    Patch 9.1.0 PTR - Build 38394

    9.1.0 Chains of Domination PTR Notes - April 21

    New Covenant Legendaries for Paladins, Rogues and Shamans
    Several new covenant legendaries have been added in Build 38394. Note that some of the legendaries below are unconfirmed, however new memory items related to them were added to the database.

    Druid

    • Kindred Affinity NYI (Kyrian) - Name changed from "Kindred Affinity" to "Kindred Affinity NYI". While your Bond is empowered, and you and your partner are within 15 yards of one another, the benefits are improved by 50%. You and your partner each gain Kindred Affinity when bonded, increasing a secondary stat based on your partner's Covenant. While your bond is empowered, Kindred Affinity is doubled. Kyrian: Mastery increased by 5%. Night Fae: Critical Strike increased by 5%. Venthyr: Haste increased by 5%. Necrolord: Versatility increased by 5%.


    Paladin

    • Divine Resonance (Kyrian) - Every 10 seconds after casting Divine Toll you cast it again at 60% effectiveness. This effect lasts 30 seconds.
    • Duty-Bound Gavel (Necrolord) - Vanquisher’s Hammer now has 2 charges and empowers an additional cast of [Templar’s Verdict/Word of Glory/Word of Glory].
    • Seasons of Plenty (Night Fae) - Casting Blessing of Summer or Blessing of Winter grants Solstice to you and up to 4 allies, increasing Haste by 5% and increasing cooldown recovery by 10%.


    Rogue

    • Resounding Clarity (Kyrian) - Echoing Reprimand now animacharges 4 combo points.
    • Deathspike (Necrolord) - Serrated Bone Spike has 2 additional charges and hits 2 additional nearby enemies.
    • Toxic Onslaught (Night Fae) - Your ability used from Stealth while Sepsis is active grants you one of Shadow Blades, Adrenaline Rush, or applies Vendetta to your current target for 8 sec.
    • Obedience (Venthyr) - Flagellation now also increases your Versatility by 1%. Each combo point spent while Flagellation is active decreases it's cooldown by 1 sec.


    Shaman

    • Splintered Elements (Necrolord) - Each additional Lightning Bolt/Healing Wave/Lava Burst generated by Primordial Wave increases your Haste by 5% for 10 sec.


    Warrior




    New Dungeon Teleports for Completing Mythic Level 20 Dungeons in Time

    Retri paladin with divine tool in pvp with this legendary or balance with convoke legendary

    Just by reading the description I know for sure this will not replace the current top legendary for Elemental/Restoration shaman.

    I wonder why they don’t just make a single legendary like “Union of the covenants: gain a legendary effect based on your class and chosen covenant” instead of individual legendary items for each covenant...

    Going by the description, this doesn't look like to be a seasonal achievement. Although it will probably go away next expansion (just like previous CM teleports).

    thought exactly the same, but for another reason.

    whats the point in doing x legendaries or adding x legendaries? there will be always just that 1 pve or that 1 pvp bis leggy, like all internet sites / theorycrafters said. so why they putting effort into all the others, noone cares ???

    i dont get why they not just do 1 leggy and you slowly work towards it (the same as we did in 9.0). and in 9.1 you just do higher itemlevel and do a new single leggy, ppl can again work towards. while the old one gets useless and outscaled. thats it. why producing x other leggys along the way, noone cares about ???

    This makes me really curious if 2 charges on vanquishers is enough to pop necro to the bis ret pala covenant, that kyrian legendary could make for some pretty big consistent damage though

    Last time we had a legendary system it turned out a lot of the useless ones were good for the mage tower. That's why. There's more than just top dps ones.

    Having portals tied to these +20 achievements doesn't make sense. It's not even remotely the same in difficulty compared to Challenge Conqueror: Gold from MoP or Challenge Warlord: Gold from WoD where instance portals have previously been available.

    Well it's a free teleport for mythic raiders and high pvp.
    Someone who does only m+ will probably never get the teleport which is ironic. But yeah Blizzard.

    I remember when a mage in bfa made a guide for high mythic dungeons. And he's like OK, you don't need much, but the following 3 azerite pieces are mandatory, which are at least a 6 month wait, lol

    The teleport is probably more of a feat of strength / prestige thing. The CM teleports have an 8 hour CD combined (not one for each, so if you teleport to temple of the ox you can only teleport to stratholme after 8 hrs). So it's not something very useful if they keep it the same. Probably something to get at the end of the expansion.

    Unless they don't do the usual seasonal M+ upscaling shenanigans, timing +20 will remain accessible to such a tiny percentage of the playerbase, that I strongly doubt this is a marketing decision.

    Having completed Challenge Warlord: Gold, I'm inclined to say, that unless they introduce something ridiculous like corrupted gear again, timing all dungeons on +20 is going to be much more difficult.
    Besides, CMs relied solely on execution, as gear was scaled down, so pretty much anyone could attempt them, such high keys depend both on godly gear that not everyone has access to and great execution on top of that.

    Feel free to convince me otherwise though.

    Precisely what I'm saying. I've got both MoP and WoD's portals, and all +20s in time is so much more difficult it's comical.

    M+20 teleports instead of fixing Bastion FPs to have something far right and left of the map... ok hahahaha

    Well, we'll be flying anyway.
