When he was talking about gambling and the RMAH he mentioned that the November release didn't look likely.
Maybe he has inside contacts, maybe he is covering his ass just incase, or more then likely he just has common sense.
It was seemingly obvious that a November release wasn't incoming with the late beta and RMAH shit storm.

I think it's something to do with the computer system. They need a hard date for pre-orders.
