I'm skipping tonight, Wilder vs Fury has my attention.

Oh I didn't realize there was a good boxing match tonight. I don't...have a boxing calendar link on my bookmarks to tell me when a good match is coming up...
I'll watch this with you guys. But idk where to talk about it.
One of you guys make a general boxing thread. (Or change this thread to be MMA/Boxing/UFC?
Honestly, the way the two disciplines are crossing over, might as well mention other contact sports here.
Unless there's objections, I'll edit the front page accordingly.
As for watching it, the UK has it on BT Sport, dunno about elsewhere.
Alright I read that right now is the start time. So...I'm watching it now.

They're still doing trailers and prefight talking now...I hope the thing I read that the undercard starts at 11 PM is wrong, cause then the main fight would be like 2 AM for me. And I don't wanna stay up THAT late.

Alright the first fight is starting soon. There are 3 fights, then Fury vs. Wilder.
Jeez, Ortiz is 39, looks 59, moving like he's 29.
That first fight was nice. A Round 1 KO.
This Ortiz Kauffman fight is a bit meh. It kind of looks like it's going to go all 10 rounds, but Ortiz is actually trying so, maybe he can get a KO eventually.
Kauffman's stomach looks like he was super obese and lost weight. Honestly, Kauffman looks super lax, like he has no killer instinct. He's not going in for a KO.
"Kauffman's had his bells jingled"
Not gonna lie, it looked painful.
Why the fuck is Kauffman throwing his hands up taunting Ortiz. He's in no position to do that. He's actually gonna get KOed at this rate for that nonsense.
Ortiz is giving a good performance, Kauffman so far has done absolutely nothing bar getting punched in the nuts.
When he taunted I was hoping Ortiz would lay him out there and then.
Kauffman knocked down. But he got up.
I wasn't expecting him to get knocked down so quickly in this round.
Ortiz is playing this remarkably patient, he could have gone full King Kong several times. He's carrying this guy.

In fairness to Kauffman, he's taking shots people wouldn't get up from.
Still throwing fuck all offence, but taking some crazy blows.
Kauffman got punched in the balls again lol. The ref says "it happens".
Kauffman has 3 kids, 4th on the way.
He won't have to worry about a 5th.

Had to happen, ref told Kauffman "show me something" and Kauffman didn't feel like breaking the habit of a life time.
Good fight.
Ended in a KO but it was kind of a boring fight.
I actually can't wait for this next fight, I saw a preview of the guy fighting and he looks lean and quick. I have to rethink "heavyweight fights are better" after watching this one.

Oh shit this guy has The Game lead him out of the tunnel.
This could easily be fight of the night, partially because I'm not expecting much from the main event, but both of these guys have had some brilliant performances lately.
Wait, he's also wearing Lakers colors? I mean this is in Staples Center but still. This guy is rolling around with a lot of swag.

Hurd has such an unorthodox fighting style. He backs right up to the ropes and crouches into his guard.
Hurd is still figuring out how good his shoulder is post injury. He'll warm up 2-3 rounds in.
This fucking ref paused the fight to pick up and wash this guy's mouthpiece. Is that legit boxing rules? Seems like stopping the fight for that shouldn't be allowed.
