So since the site and game is down this morning, I thought I'd ask you all here. I want to buy my friend a digital copy of the game and some game time. Is there any way to do this or will I have to just buy the hardcopy version and have it shipped??

I don't think that Origin is currently able to gift items. At least, a lot of people complain about that.
