If it's the sort of surgery I've seen - they put metal rods in your back that aren't going to be removed. So...no. Because it wouldn't be able to.

But it does limit your mobility and flexibility something awful...but it's better than being in pain for sure.

No, surgery fuses metal rods to your spine so it literally cannot curve that way, at least not as far as it is now.
