Man I get so disappointed when I see its another graph post.
How is that posible for everyone to have more thank 50% wins? Who's loosing then? /trololo
Was there a statistic of how many characters have player 1, 10, 100 (or won 1, 10, 100) rated bgs out of everyone?
I still think this feature was a huge failure.
The second strip of DLC made me think of Klaus Kinski, if its intended hooray! if not, hooray!
oh yay more statistics.
No one gives a "blank" about a stupid class chart. Show us a spec breakdown then we'll be interested.
id rlove to get in to rbg's but even with my 4k resil hunter and ret its impossible since my ratings at 0
This is quite misleading. Hunters seem to be doing "ok" according to this chart. But if you actually look at statistics based on rating, of the top 2000 Rated BG players in the US, here is the breakdown by class.
Paladin - 304
Mage - 256
Druid - 255
Priest - 224
Warrior - 214
Death Knight - 190
Shaman - 175
Rogue - 148
Warlock - 143
Hunter - 91
Among 2000 players, approximately 200 of each class should be in there. So hunters are less than 50% of what they are supposed to represent, where Paladins are 150% of what they are supposed to represent. All in all, other than Hunters and maybe Locks and Rogues, the other classes are well within the "normal" limits. But Hunters are a bit too low indeed.
I do RBG with my hunter, and the only thing hunters are good at is to idle at farm flag. That's it. And many other classes can fulfill that role easily. So nobody really "needs" a hunter for their RBG team.

Surprise surprise hunters are at the bottom again...
Statistics are funny...You could also look at it this way:Yes, I think that 'tank' is a role in RBG, especially the Capture the Flag kind.Total: 18 roles, among 2000 players, that means 110 of every role, so, expected:
- Paladin: 3 roles
- Mage: 1 role
- Druid: 3 roles
- Priest: 2 roles
- Warrior: 2 roles
- DK: 2 roles
- Shaman: 2 roles
- Rogue: 1 role
- Lock: 1 role
- Hunter: 1 role
From this, it seems that pala's are under represented, mages are over represented (big shocker...)Druids, priests and warriors seems about right, DK and shaman are a bit underrepresentedRogue and lock are a bit overrepresentedHunters are slightly under represented.Doesn't seem to be that big off in this way.And frankly, neither of these 2 'reasonings' make much sense if you're gonna look at the big picture. You'd need to take into account how many of a class actively PvP, for example. If there's only 91 hunters doing rated BG's, they're massively overrepresented in the top (to name an extreme)So yeah, can't really draw much conclusions from these kind of statistics
- Pala: 330
- Mage: 110
- Druid: 330
- Priest: 220
- Warrior: 220
- DK: 220
- Shaman: 220
- Rogue: 110
- Lock: 110
- Hunter: 110

People and blizzard still cant understand that hunter class is bad in pvp -.-
I hate statistics :S this should be a NEWS frontpage
Intresting that over 50% have never done rated battlegrounds. I dont like PVP all so I understand them 100%
I was really excited about rated bgs before they were implemented because for me, over half my game time was spent in bgs and was the funnest part of WoW. However, once they were implemented and I realized that the only difference between rated and regular bgs was that you were willing to form a group and I'd be penalized gear wise for not being willing to put up with people I'd otherwise simply /ignore I went on 'bg strike' for all of Cataclysm. My idea of fun does not include putting up with rude players.
Before people get defensive, and I can only judge by my experience of playing this game almost 6 years, a large chunk of the regular bg players on every realm are loudmouths and people I would not group with. I did group up to pvp, with people I wanted to play with, but for the most part I went in there solo and played for the team.
Now that rated bgs are in decline I've started playing pvp again, well that and the gear rewards for converted hp
No, this is totally wrong. It would only be true if there are 3 times as many paladins as hunters playing rated BG's, but there aren't. Hunters are less than paladins, but not 3 times less. So, when you look at the highest rated players in RBG, the only normalization you can use is that, how many are playing RBG's. So the "roles" are irrelevant.
Assume there are 10000 players doing RBG's total and around 900 of them are hunters, which is an "ok" position to be in, not every class will occupy exactly 1000 spots. But when you look upon the 2000 highest rated players, and now there are only 91 hunters instead of 180 (which is the spot they should occupy based on the normalization of 900 out of 10000), that means at high ratings hunters are 50% as successful as they should be.
