3. Doing only heart quest hubs left me underlevelled. I was annoyed. Then I started doing the apparently mandatory crafting, I am now appropriately levelled. Note that you absolutely have to use the "deposit all collectibles" thing in the bags (press the gear icon top right on the bag pane, then that option). It'll throw all the crafting mats you have into a materials tab that you can open at the crafting tables. Great idea, love it, wish other games had done the same ages ago, needed explanation though. I found out from the wiki. My friends had a good old chuckle at my expense.

Take the azura gate to Lions Arch and then a gate to another races zone. You can get skill points and more hearts there not to mention xp for exploration.

I prefer to mine and chop, killing random peeps of my level, mat grind, doing random big battles (group event) way more lucrative. Way of play, you know
