So I guess you are right, whatever class can't be played with the Panderean might have Samurai armor. I doubt any Japanese themed thing will be allowed to be worn by Pandaren's though.
From WoWWiki
The pandaren originally had a Japanese appearance, using samurai-style armor and weapons. After a negative reaction by many in China, who regard that animal as their national heirloom (indeed, wild pandas only exist in China), they were redesigned with Chinese-style clothing
that leaves us samurai warlocks, samurai druids or samurai death knights.
I'd bet on death knights
still there will probably be some set look alikes for warriors who want to be samurai. (the current trend is tank plate = warrior lookalike; healing plate = pally lookalike; dps plate = dk lookalike)

Too late. Blizz already said anime inspired them with MoP.
I think it'll be downplayed, but you can be sure various other asian cultures will be in somewhat. You cannot make a whole expansion on JUST Chinese themes without delving too deep into their myths. And when you do that.... things get complicated as you try to rationalize them in alongside the existing mythos.
FFXIV - Maduin (Dynamis DC)
come on, bunny armor sounds like fun, especially if it looks like the verming

the thing is: china bitched about the original pandaren because it was the pandaren wearing japanese armor.
I don't think china will have anything to say if there's, say, japanese warrior armor. it's not pandaren armor, it's warrior armor, pandaren may wear it or not, and if they have to wear it, they can just transmog into something else.
the in a worst case scenario, if china doesn't want ANY japanese-looking thing in MoP, blizz will have to tell them to chill and just modify the chinese version of the game, as they did to WotLK.
but the point is: pandaria isn't china. though the pandaren are based on the chinese culture and they named their continent, pandaria just isn't china. there may well be a japanese-looking culture within it.
God bless Transmog... Id ont want to wear some oriental-samurai junk... I'll just stay to hmm"Warcraft look" armors like purple t10 for dk or t1,t6 for warrior
if we stick to the zodiac theme... then locks as donnie darko rabits! :P
sorry, but that statement, when translated to real life, would be like this:
"I don't want to wear some oriental junk... I'll just stay to hmm "real life look" clothes like this or that"
pandarian armor is part of the warcraft universe as much as any other armor in the game. if you'd rather have an "orcish look", a "burning legion look", an "illidari look", a "scourge look", an "alliance look", a "forsaken look", et cetera, it's all ok. but saying pandarian armor doesn't belong in the "warcraft look" is plain prejudice.
The whole issue with Chinese pride and not using japanese themes on Pandaren because Pandaren == Chinabears is easily solved.
Infact, let me get some help from my good friend Patrick here.
There we go. The japanese-themed items are used and dropped by the ENEMIES of the chinabears. Meaning the players may use them but in the story, they're used by those that oppress / endanger the Pandaren. Peachy, no complaints from China and we get awesome samurai armor.
Looking marvelous in velvet.
Maybe not for the first tier, but I expect there to be another round of faction armor, like tier 9, maybe with a little more variation(can't really figure out why druids monks and rogues would look the same.) I fully expect full shogun armor in some form for warriors. The level of protection from samurai armor's pretty fantastic, plus you have to figure they're going to put their personal lore/style into everything. Chinese armor's kind of sleek, and as others are saying, pandas =/= chinese expansion. "Asian" means they can pull from a whole lot of stuff from Chinese, to Korean, to Japanese, even Indian.
that's pretty much what I expect, but I don't think the mogu can be japanese without some angry chinese crying, because they are based on china's stone lion statues
the mantid, or even another race not yet mentioned could well be japanese.
Nnggh. Okay, granted.
Then I hope it's gonna be the Mantid. Samurai Praying Mantis? Yes, sounds awesome.
... even though the fact that they're behind a Great Wall would indicate they're more like the Mongols. Because Great Wall of China.
... even though the Mongols are already in-game in the form of the Centaur....
... even though... Hm. This is getting complicated.
Oh well. Samurai Praying Mantis! HOooo!
Looking marvelous in velvet.
Samurai warrior plz
Hmm I don't play a druid myself, but I think that all the druids out there will agree with me, when i say that there is a certain something missing from the newest druid sets. Something that was previously was a stable of all druid tier and i'm >>>SURE<<< is sorely missed.
That something, is a dead bird on your head (or a dead animal of some sort making up your shoulders/helm).
So that is my hope, that we go back to the old style of druid sets! .
I want some samurai, bonsai tree, dragon armors.
