While the lack of DVI, DP, and VESA all suck, seeing the monitor on my desk now, I think I could actually work with this!

Inb4 I end up returning it in 2 weeks to up to a high quality 1440p 27". :P

Also, saw a Dell U3014 or something, one of the Ultrasharp 30 inchers... let's just say: "Holy fuck!"

Well, that would certainly be an upgrade.

I feel like that number should be larger. :P

Think I may do a pretty lengthy review at some point of this ASUS MX239H AH-IPS monitor and talk about its comparisons with my previous TN panels.

I think people should be more aware that there's a wide variety of TN-panels though. For instance, the displays on the non-retina Macbooks are pretty good, but they are TN. I would bet a fair bit of money that they are superior in colour accuracy than the U2412M for instance.

I think that since the fact was mentioned on Steam Dev Days as fun trivia and then tweeted out by devs can account for this one being true.

I would bet a fair bit of money calling bollocks on that. Also, who gives a crap about perfect colour accuracy on a screen for non-professional use. The colour accuracy on U2412M is good enough that things look like they should, I mean, it has it's flaws but so does every other E-IPS.

Also, seems to be a pretty massive difference for me between OpenGL and DX11.

That's the point. It virtually is a tn panel. And there are better tn panels again

Well it's moot to compare lower end IPS to high end TN. If you wanted to spend more on a screen you would buy higher end IPS which again would beat the higher end TN.

Got the corsair m65 a few weeks ago, and damn it just doesn't feel right :/ It 's an awesome mouse, but it's giving me RSI like I used to have when I was constantly at my pc. Not impressed :/ Never had problems with my razer imperator (flame on), was perfect for 4+ years.

    That's a shame.

I loved my M90 but it was always giving me static shocks no matter what I did to try to remedy the problem, and it turned off a lot and had errors up the wazzoo. I should have returned it when I had the chance, it's been sitting in my desk for over a year now. lol

Yeah... just pulled the M90 out and tried plugging it in.

    Didn't even turn on.

New reason I just realized to not buy an X79 type of computer system or X80 GPU...

They produce too much heat, and I keep my large stash of quite expensive and hard to replace (most you can't buy anymore) beers down here in the basement as well... The basement is already 58 to 60 F and that's a little on the warm side. The computer needs to produce as little heat as possible. :P

So my new parts arrived (finally). Haven't turned it into a completed build yet, because i didn't anticipate the power supply's modular plugs sitting in the way. I ordered a Super Flower SF-550P14XE (HX). It's of better quality than the Be Quiet L8 anyway.

Love the features this board has, it's absolutely one of my favorite boards i've ever owned. And i'm sure as hell never buying asrock again, glad i got rid of that board.

That's not a reason. You just need one of those wine cabinets that have stable temperature and anti-vibration shell to preserve your valuable beers.

Well, I've thought of those but they hold them on their side. Beer is typically meant to be stood up.

(I've not confirmed how important this is, but most breweries say to keep their beers in the standing position.) >_<
