inux, I'd order the RAM specifically mentioned in the supported list, just to spite the company when it presumably fails to work. Because then you can go hah fuck you. Provided the RAM is otherwise proven to work.

What RAM is this anyway?
Just a tip: If your new chassi has a button that looks like a reset-button, then it probably is a reset-button. No matter if the icon can, in the dark, be mistaken for a headphone-icon (which, in theory, could've meant that the button is used to swap between headphones and speakers).

In my defense, I thought that they hadn't changed the location of the reset-button from the R3 and I havn't had to reset my computer since I upgraded.

So i just spend over half an hour trying to locate what part of my computer that made this weird noise that definitely shouldn't be there.
I tried stopping fans, poking different parts to see if they were shaking etc.
Then i finaly just turned it off, only to notice the noise kept going.
Thats when i realised it was because some people were cutting their hedge outside.

Wow, lol. Atleast my source of "weird PC noise" was coming from somewhere in the room itself (my mouse was the culprit) :P
Also it's a bad idea to stop fans while they're spinning, you might unbalance their bearings no matter how careful you are (tiny chance but can happen :P). They're designed to come to a gradual stop on their own after being switched off.

A. Why would you stop your fans every day?

Trust me when I say - it's not Vengeance sticks.

GTX 660Ti released.
They at least have some white and red fins.
Again, show me Vengeance that looks like those RAM sticks in that picture. It's not Vengeance memory, I assure you. Vengeance spreads out as you know, the Dominator fins just go straight up, which is what it looks like in this picture.
Unless of course, you are looking at the wrong part on the computer. You did, after all, JUST learn that stopping fans while they are running is bad.
Here's another tidbit: running speakers/headphones/any audio device at max volume can damage it. :P

That is *NOT* Vengeance. Unless your eyes are broken, it's very clear that isn't Vengeance, it's Dominator GT. Or MAYBE Mushkin Redline, however Redline has fins that do this arrow thing, which these are not.
Okay, so I think I follow the misunderstanding:
inux was talking about his own RAM, which is Corsair Vengeance RAM.
The Asus build however is definitely Corsair Dominator GT RAM, or Dominator RAM with custom-painted fins. (Doubt it tho.)
What Drunken said, hahahaha :P
Sorry ^^
