Wat. A warrior with a sword is a mobility machine from the videos I've seen.

  3. #83
Only 3 Warrior weapons do not grant mobility or range; 2h hammer, mace and 1h axe.

  4. #84
Well, I guess I will be on the floor more often than not since I'm going to be running 2h Hammer almost all the time.

  5. #85
2h Hammer has a conical attack and PBAE. There is also nothing stopping a 2h hammer Warrior from choosing utility skills such as Charge (Gap Closer), Dolyak (KD break), Banner (which can be used as spears on the fly!), Balance stance (CC immune) or Bolas (ranged root) while still using a 2h hammer or Mace primary.

A Warrior would have to build for no utility to have no utility. Gah, that sounds weird. Though true based on what is seen- Warriors seem to have the most combat options.

  6. #86
Of course I will be picking up Charge and Bolas. Once I am on my target they will have a tough time getting away since hammer spec is more about controlling your enemy.

  7. #87
Well, yea. A 2h hammer Warrior will probably be very sticky vis-a-vis a hammer Guardian, for example. Can take long bow as 2nd weapon as well and gain like 2 more impedes.

I ran Hammer with Axe and Warhorn. The ranged Cripple from Axe was much better than the Sword Charge. With Warhorn granting Swiftness aswell I was ontop of people most the time.

I also ran Sword + Warhorn and Greatsword. Much more mobility but less control due to less Cripples and Knockdown/knockback/stun.

Both have their ups and downs, depending on the utilities you take will make or break a setup though. There's only one elite to consider, the Banner, Rampage is pretty crap for what it does.

    What about signet of rage?

How much adrenaline is gained passively?

You gain adrenaline so fast without it, I'd consider it pretty pointless for that. The buffs are good but not worth changing out for the Banner, considering the banner buffs you, heals you, revives people etc.

This was my Hammer setup for PvP.

I remember seeing some warriors asking about the trait that reduces weapon swap CD.

    http://youtu.be/3Z5i-3n2xT4?t=6m54s

This last beta even added an actually number on the reduction, 5 Seconds. Second minor trait in the discipline line.

    Nice find.

I don't think I'll be switching weapons too often, but the only way to find out is to play I guess.

What if your burst skill is on CD, and you're traited for heavy adrenaline building and high burst skill damage?

I wouldn't say they want you to do it poorly, but that they want you to do it with strategy. Instead of being able to spam it back and forth without any repercussions now you have to put some thought into it.

I think 10 seconds is long enough to where you aren't penalized too much if you do swap at the wrong time, but long enough to make you take a second thought about if it's the right choice or not.

In addition to the weapon swap cd reduction trait there's also Rune of the Warrior -1 second on weapon swap.

Warrior really is the most fun looking class. With the gimmick of GW2 being an MMO hack-n-slash, why wouldn't Warrior kick ass.

    Warrior 4 ever.

Ill roll a warrior because i like grabbing twohanded hammers, and charging at the sound of the Ride if the Valkyries while drinking beer from a wooden keg.
Also shouting and cursing while stroking my nordic bear.

Really hope the signet of rage isn't that good tbh. It's just really boring for a elite skill imo. I want the rampage or banner to actually be good. Not sure why they think a signet as an elite skill would be fun. Also wish you could only choose one signet at a time because to do the maximum damage as a warrior it looks like you'll have to cram your utility bar with signets, which is kinda lame. And I always want to do the maximum damage.

I think it's fun if it works as I envision.

Allows more frequent use of Burst skills. With the 2 traits in Discipline to burst skill. There also seems to be a lot of benefit to keep the rage bar full by granting more crit, damage, heal and survival. Can also convert that rage to group buffs and healing if the limited info is right.

SoR is not flashy, I suppose. Though I personally only care about the crunch not the effects.

Major oh hell no on 1 signet at a time.
