if your gym has a "Elliptical" that machine will burn calories like crazy , treadmills burn roughly 300-400 calories a hr using a lite jog speed and a eliptical can burn that much in 1/2 the time . if you ask your gym manager he should have planned work out sheets to show you what you should be doing . when at the gym you could be doing something that seems like its working and they can show you easier ways to get faster results.
I went to the gym just now, jumped 1100 times and managed to learn the criss cross (the one trick which makes it seems you switch hands a little) and the double swing in 1 jump, did it with a friend.
My god this is infinitely more better and more fun than running....
Though some bones in my feet do hurt now.
