Decolace, no doubt about it. It was the most boring zone ever before they changed it in cata. Back in classic you had to find Rexxar for the ony chain and it was so far between quests etc. I tried to avoid it all together if I could.

Dude I'm with you! That was such a far run back and forth, in a super "desolate" area.. boring.

what? back in classic the barrens was the most entertaining zone as far as on the chat. it was all chuck norris jokes and people dualing twinks in xroads.... and there are tons of killing quests..

Vanilla: Desolace and Sithilus, even post AQ patch
TBC: None, I loved every zone in Outland
Wrath: None, I loved every zone in Northrend
Cata: Uldum and Twilight Highlands. Ugh.

I don't think anyone even went to silithus before AQ. You didn't need to go there to hit 60 there was no flight path in Ungoro either.. I always skipped silithus.

I'm gonna go with Silithus, doing quests there both before and after Cata is incredibly dull for me and I've never been a big fan of deserts or insects.

You sir have nailed it. These are my winners for each major version as well.

And to be fair, I actually loved Deepholm the first time around. Not so much with the whole being-forced-to-do-the-whole-zone-on-every-PvE-toon thing. Lesson learned, Blizzard? FFS, at least make the shoulder enchants BoA?

Pre-Cata Kalimdor:
WORST = Ashenvale - so slow to traverse for quests; felt like I spent decades there.
BEST = Feralas - just seemed so... exotic and lush.

Pre-Cata Eastern Kingdoms:
WORST = (tie) Westfall / Hinterlands - Westfall so painful for questing; Hinterlands simply boring.
BEST = Duskwood - can't really say why, just had a good time here.

Outland:
WORST = Blade's Edge Mountains
BEST = Shadowmoon Valley

Northrend:
WORST = Bor-ing Tundra - so strange; didn't even feel like it belonged with the rest of Northrend. quests so boring.
BEST = Howling Fjord - great atmosphere.

Re-done Cataclysm Azeroth:
WORST = Thousand Needles / Stonetalon Mountains
BEST = ? not sure, grasping here. maybe Blasted Lands as "most improved from the original."

New Cataclysm zones:
WORST = Twilight Highlands - not inspiring or interesting in any way
BEST = ? - none stood out. some were visually interesting (Deepholm) but none were great. hated questing in every one after the first time through.
