Starcraft 2 is pretty fun with a team mate. RTS (blizzard)
Terraria is a sandbox game, which is also fun playing with friends. (steam)
Bloodline champions, a pvp fast brawl arena 3 / 5 player free with steam.
League of legends.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - FPS
Minecraft - Openworld sandbox (get som mods or play some adventure maps if you want a bit of divercity in the game)
RIFT - MMORPG (a bit wow alike but got some different aspects to it, worth a shot)
if you want to try something else, just go on steam and see whats on sale and give some cheap indie games a go, some of them are quite good.
There isnt alot out worth playing im waiting on Guild wars 2
id personally steer clear of rift and alot of the free to play models on steam atm, dont get me wrong rift is a good game to a extent and Trion are one of the better companys out there but its always lacking somthing
Im back to playing skyrim and i cant see that changing any time soon
If everything I do is wrong then by god ill do it right
Star Wars - The Old Republic
Diablo 3 (coming out on May 15th, though it doesn't fit quite into your categories ... it's worth a shot)
StarCraft 2
Minecraft
Terraria
Tibia (pretty old no-sense MMO )
For coop I find quite amusing:
Borderlands
Lord of the Rings - War in the North
Also f2p that I didn't find that good ... but that's a matter of opinion ^^
Aion
Age of Conan
Lord of the Rings Online

MMORPG ----> Resub wow since others is just a lie.
MMOFPS-----> Dont know
RTS----------> Starcraft 2 worts every bit of money
MMORTS-----> No idea
FPS----------> Battlefield 3 , CoD:MW 3 seems good.
MOBA--------> Whut?
CO-OP -------> Wait til Diablo 3 come out or Dota and its shiny clones, mass effect 3 Co-op multiplay also awesom.
FPSRTS-------> No idea
Openworld Sandboxes -> i dont play in sandboxes
Browser MMO-> C&C online Beta ,The settlers Beta. Prety awesom web games, still in production tho but worth playing.
GTA San Andreas (nice RPG/sandbox game. Good storyline as well).
Age of Empires 3 (Big improvement on gameplay compared to AoE2. Ok graphics, since the game is from 2005).
Minecraft (sandbox game with infinite opportunities. Some hate it and some love it. I kinda like it )
That's pretty much what I play atm.
I'd give Sniper elite V2 a shot, It's an FPS I'm playing now, and it's really quite enjoyable. I thought it would just be a one-trick kinda game with the nut-shots and everything, but It's got a pretty fun campaign.
I'd recommend Tera for it's engaging combat and amazing scenery.
Diablo 3 .... May 15th! That is all.
TERA - mmo-action-rpg (aiming and shiz)
Terraria - sandboxy, kinda like 2d minecraft but with actual combat, bosses etc
Minecraft - Sandbox
Darkfall - low on subs atm since Darkfall 2010.............., Darkfall 2.0 is coming out "soon" (new game or something, gonna be other servers than Darkfall Online 1)
FlyFF - f2p mmo, kinda fun:ish, maybe.
Tribes: Ascend - fast paced FPS
Legend of Grimnok - old school dungeon crawler, single player
Fahrenheit(Indigo prophecy) - cool, single player
Realm of the Mad God - f2p, pew pew
DCUO - f2p, fun combat
APB Reloaded - f2p, third person shooter mmo

For openworld sandboxes I'd recommend Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, and Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Also, Grand Theft Auto 4 is great, although less sandboxy than previous installations.
