good luck getting anywhere close to a "bis" equipped character...

Considering how wildly unpopular random stats items like bracers are. Why would they do this. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.

Also with no 10/25man Mythic should default gem/WF items.

Sancticty of battle needs a huge fucking overhaul with suck a new secondary stat system in place and removal of traditional gem sockets. We all know whats going to happen if we cannot exceed 20 haste let alone how much it's going to suck to require it.

the 30% scaled procs can not proc the multistrike ability I believe it was said.

Yes, quest rewards can be anywhere from green to purple as well, not sure if the quest items will also have a chance to get tetriary stats but I wouldn't be surprised.

Whatever we say is the "softcap" now (17k rating) or the "hardcap" 21500 or whatever is going to be scaled down to be within reach of the new scaling regardless.
Maybe we won't be in a spot where we don't want any more haste right away but by the end of WoD maybe we will again, then again with no reforging, much less gems and such maybe not. Also depending on how multistrike will work STR, Crit or Mastery will prob be better anyways.

Why are people even speculating/talking about current mechanics in a completely new game/universe (WoD aka post number squish). All the laws and physics about how ret works will be turned upside down. No need to cry and moan about something nobody has any clue about yet.

    .
You say that, but who are they unpopular with? The vast majority of flex/normal raiders or the small minority of progression heroic/mythic raiders?

Because it's fun to theorycraft? Most of what MoP has we already talked about so much it's more or less over, why not talk about the future even if there's just a fraction of it we know about?

This for the love of god.

You can't extrapolate class balance with the assumption that classes themselves are not going to change. My guildies are always moaning about no more dot snapshot and no more reforging and how their shadow priest or feral Druid or w/e will be awful. Classes will change, people need to wait until beta to decide that class balance is ruined.

To "theorycraft" you need to have some variables and numerical values relative to others. Snapshots of talents and just random ideas/drivel about gear from devs at blizzcon hardly satisfies the needs.

MoP might be old and stuff but its relevant. Something that has nothing outside of random tweets and blizzcon isn't (still way too far away).

I seriously doubt WF will stay since there will only be 1 raid size, and the whole system was made to incentivize 25man.

someone asked at blizzcon Q&A, WF will stay.

The system was made to make farm bosses more interesting, and it's staying according to tweets. The increased drop chance for 25 was the incentive not the entire system.

Well yes and no, we can discuss and share things we think won't work and then take it up with the dev team and ask if they see the same things and if they got plans to work around "problems" that may or may not occur. I think beta is maybe 1-2 months away, internal testing prob started long ago... why shouldn't we ask questions to blizzard already? the sooner things get cleared up the better? once beta actually comes around they'll be bombared with questions and shitstorms anyways, why not be early?

participate or don't... not gonna force anyone...

What's this that we're even talking about? This randomness we're all scared of. I was in field training when BLIZZCON happened and I'm confused. Link to something for me to read?

My only issue is why is it being discussed here? This thread is already an obstacle course of SAS type proportions (especially for people who may come here once or twice a month) without adding in things which are nothing to do with the stated aims on the first page.

Well technically the title says theorycraft, and numbers or not, you can have theories (or craft theories, if you will) about things such as how multistrike will work for us in WoD.

Yeah that was before I knew how they plan to have multistrike behave.
I see so many bumps with how they intend multistrike to work, can't wait for beta to see the clusterfucks of RNG showing up...

We all know that this stuff will change about 100 times between now and release, and that quite a lot of the stuff they are talking about probably won't even make it halfway through beta, but it is still interesting to talk about. Although a separate thread would probably be more appropriate.

  19. #5659
Ye hype and stuff is always fun but making up theories out of thin air is pointless. Should just wait at least for beta to go up.

I think we can all agree that THIS will be the expansion where Ret finally outshines every other class.
