On July 9, 2009, Bethesda made Daggerfall available as a free, legal download on their website, commemorating the 15th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls franchise.[2]

hopefully that's official enough for you.

oh found it on their updated website:
    http://www.elderscrolls.com/daggerfall/

don't see why people have to be so anal that I linked to a different mirror. (when you could have spent 4 seconds googling it to see that it's legit)

you can download arena as well: http://www.elderscrolls.com/arena/

BTW - Does Morrowind work on Windows 7?

If you need to pick only one of those, go with Morrowind. It's still the best TES game out there.
    But i kinda liked Dawnguard.
English is not my first language, feel free to point out any mistake so i can keep learning.

There is no reason why it shouldn't work.

Windows 7 is a crapload better than XP and Vista, and the O.S's are backwards compatible with most older games.

Edit: I also played FO3 and FO:NV on a Windows 7 PC. Had hardly any issues :P

You may have to run it in windows XP compatibility mode. Works on mine though.

    Why not both?

But if you're getting morrowind, check out these mods http://www.moddb.com/mods/morrowind-rebirth, you'll likely need to mod it to remove bugs etc.

There you go, that tells you most of the common issues and ways to fix them. That site has helped me immensely with some of my games.

Posting the same thing 3 times in 20 mins isn't going to get anyone to help you faster, it is a forum, not an instant messenger. Patience is a virtue.

You can try this for fallout 3, Open up the fallout.ini file in: My Documents\My Games\Fallout3 find the line bUseThreadedAI=0 and change it to bUseThreadedAI=1 and then add another line after it and type in iNumHWThreads=2 this will limit the game to 2 cores which will prevent the engine bug from making the game crash, because what you are describing sounds like the engine bug problem. Hope this helps. also the latest patch for fo3 breaks quad core support, with this it should stop crashing and freezing.
