For some reason my computer says it is using 88% of my RAM
but according to my control panel, all the processes I'm running barely add up to 1GB of RAM in use and I have 8GB of RAM. What is going on

Check the little button in the lower left corner. Should say something like "show processes from all users." It should show any hidden ones keeping the system itself on.

I dont think you know what "show process from all users" means

Yes there are always more process going on then windows is showing you. Even with all users some stuff is still hidden. There are programs tho for showing all proceses but usually its not needed.

Yeah, the button shows all processes from the system itself. I'm the only user of this computer, my list is about doubled when I press it.

There it is. Scanning sucks so it doesn't look as good as it does in real life, but then again, when does anything I scan over look better post scan?
