Invites have not gone out as far as I know. If you pre-ordered SL, Or got it free through the 12 month sub feature, you are guaranteed a spot. Just make sure you go to your account page on the Rift Site and confirm you want into the beta. (whether or not you pre-ordered SL, you can choose to opt in) Originally Posted by ChariotOfFaith

Something that I've noticed that really sucks, and I'm not trying to bash Trion here, just stating my feelings, is that it costs me the full $50 to buy SL from my preferred outlet in order to get the cape that I would prefer. There are so many more benefits to pre-ordering through Trion that it makes less sense to buy anywhere else. I would just prefer to get the cape I would rather have for the same price. I've seen the Cape complaint on the forums a couple of times, and I just don't get it. I mean, yeah, the other retailers' capes are cool, but what happens if/when you find a better cape in-game at level 53, or a few days later at level 60? Originally Posted by notorious98

Perhaps. But is that a guarantee? Remember, we're not talking about something you can quantify. It's about personal preference and what I find aesthetically pleasing. Will I find a cloak that I like better than the version Trion's pre-order gives me? Probably. Will I find a cloak that I like better than the version that Best Buy or Steam's pre-order gives me? Less likely. You can't use an argument based on assumption when dealing with personal preference. And, even if I DO find a cape that I find more appealing than those, what's the point of penalizing for buying elsewhere, especially when they're obviously giving these retailers exclusivity to specific capes in order to draw in players who prefer those capes?
