To be fair, this isn't a kind of bullying I'm familiar with. Bullying when I was in school was the typical physical/direct-verbal kind, and handling that's probably different from having people e-stalk you. Myspace wasn't well known when I was still in school and by time I graduated Facebook was still just a little-known college-only thing.

Basically to be e-bullied you need to give them something. Pretty much the same thing as trolling, you give them your attention and anger and they're fueled forever, you give them nothing, they go away and find someone else, especially on the internet. Give them nudes, well, you're fucked, they're out there on the internet and there's no way you'll ever get them erased.

I think what she's "telling" is not true. She flashed a guy on a webcam and that magically made everyone hate her? And the guy that "used" her, all of a sudden, he called her without prior being friends? And cheated on his girlfriend?
I find this entire story to be a bit sketchy. I mean come on, all that because of a pair of boobs?!

Been happening for centuries. Another way to weed out the weak. While yes it sad this girl killed herself. People need to stop being such cry baby bitches. I mourn the human race in the future where everyone will sue/report/cry fowl for anything/everything. Toughen up your kids for humanity, if not for you or them, for your grandchildren.

This thread infuriates me. It's the "oh my god, so tragic" crowd that keeps euthanasia laws so strict or non existent at all. Who the hell thinks they can tell someone they aren't allowed to die? People believe in abortion and the death penalty, but a grown man isn't allowed to die peacefully at the time of his own choosing? BULLSHIT. Society has embraced the idea that you're allowed to suffer endlessly but you aren't allowed to kill yourself, and it's sick. Governments pull anything and everything off the market that helps people die peacefully and it's tyrannical and cruel as fuck. It's not just people with depression or emo teens who want to die, some people have mind crushing physical ailments or are simply old and tired of living. Who they hell are we to stand in their way? Who are we to decide what kinds of things people should and shouldn't put up with? These kinds of bullshit laws exist only because of social guilt. Look at the Huffington Post site, people have shown up just to tell a deceased teenager that they are sorry. Suicide has been part of my life for 20 years. Been there, tried and failed that, been locked up for it, repeat. This stuff doesn't shock me, and it really shouldn't shock anyone else. I keep helium tanks in my room and a suicide note on my desk. Who cares; we're all mortal. If people are really going to preach about human rights, then people deserve the right to end their suffering.

Now that my rant is over, I can say that bullies are assholes.

Well if you got that from my sentence then I must of said something like "You send pictures on the internet, you die". That is clearly not even close to what I was saying. I was saying if you flash something people like to see and you don't even know this person, have not seen their face, don't have a number, anything to do with them at all, just a screen name or some shit. Really think about what you're doing and what it could lead to, especially when you're still in school. The consequences would be.
• Grats you're now part of the billions of other people with some kind of naked picture on the internet that's never, ever going away.
• Well now that you're on the internet, naked, lets wonder who could see this.
• Pretty much everyone in the world with an internet connection. With the phones kids have these days, that's pretty much everyone.
• All of that can happen before you even wake up for the next day of school. Shirt storm happens and you've just ruined your own life.
• If you give them nothing to show of you, they have nothing to bully you with, just their own opinions of you, and someone else's opinions should never hurt you. Keyword should.

Thing is, my little sister got teased at school to. When some of her classmates saw me makes signs like snapping my fingers and pointing like "i see you" it kind of stopped. She moved schools already cause it was a crapschool though. At the new school she doesn't get teased (diffrent atmosphere and higher educated kids and kids from WAY better families).
I think teasing is a combination of how the bully his life is at home (they tend to be beated or teased at home) and how "cool" the other kids think it is and the educational background of their family.
If their family is composed of drunk and kidbeating rednecks, that's a recipe for a serial killer alone, but you tend to be more of a bully.
I guess jealousy has a HUGE factor to play to in this.

Charge fines to the parents of said bully, increasing in increments. Eventually the parents will have to snap and do their damn job. While minors are immune to the law in most cases, this should change. School should not be a place of insecurity. Developing a social "rank" in a high school is an inevitability, but it should never escalate beyond a certain point like it seems to above.

Children stop going to parents once they realize nothing changes and they just get picked on for telling mommy. Once that is ingrained into your very being, you start to just stop saying anything to anyone.

It doesn't matter whether or not they are innocent, what matters is that they have dozens of naked pictures and no one cares. Anyway, it was just an example. Another example is from my high school. We had this one girl who got drunk and she gave a guy a blow job in front of a very popular bar. Next day there was some teasing in the forms of "yo, where's your boyfriend" but no one hated her for that or resented her too much.
It's just stupid, the reasons in the case of this girl are retarded and don't make much sense, that's the problem.

"Hello, this is the police, you are hereby fined the amount of ( $$) on the charges that your son has bullied someone so bad that it caused this person to commit sucide, good day ma'am and sir". That really wouldn't blow over well. Since the very well known theory of what makes a bully are parents that don't give a shit about them, why would they care about someone elses life, and how would that make them snap into shape and thus snapping their child into shape. It's not stopping it if it's already happened. They have to "change" their child before they become a bully.
