I use xycraft for some low tier tanks but also found a use for all the junk ore in thaumcraft, which was nice.

You're right, it was another mod, I removed Mine Little Pony and that solved the issue, I'm guessing either there's a minor conflict between those 2 that the MLP mod somehow drew out OR chicken chunks chunk loaders just somehow fix the flashy hud when you're in the area O_o I'm confused as hell oh well I like Zan's minimap too much to go back to rei's so I'll live without the MLP mod lol Originally Posted by Greevir

Sigh, the flashing still persists, though it's not as spazztastic as it was before.
Edit: It was just my graphics card settings, had threaded optimization off and FXAA on, after turning threaded opt on and FXAA off the flashing stopped.Last edited by JadeDrgn; 2013-03-05 at 07:40 PM.

Yeah, going to give a new minimap a try. Rei's has been around for ages and it seems as though any effort put in to it is just to keep it up to date with a current version of minecraft. There doesn't seem to be a lot of effort to improve code or make things better. I'll look into Zan's as a replacement.

Yeah, I was hesitant to move from Rei's as I've used it for a really long time. But after giving Zans a go, I don't feel bad anymore. It works well and has the features I used from Rei's.

I'll let people give it a try. It looks great. If it solves some perfomance issues over Rei's then it will replace it. I'm not very sentimental about Rei's, I really only use it to have coordinates on screen. It's a little helpful early game to have the map, but after a while you know the terrain by heart.
Give it a try folks and post your comments here. Let me know which one you prefer and why.

100% agreed. I've used Rei's for as long as I can remember, but made the move to Zan's last night and I love it. I highly recommend people to give it a go =) Originally Posted by laguy442

Perhaps give an opportunity to barrels mod instead of factorization, factorization personally only use by the barrels.

Hmmm. I'm pretty happy with Zan's too. It will be a fixture in 1.5 if it updates fast enough.
Speaking of 1.5, the pre-release is due out tomorrow. I'm going to be posting a skeleton of the list at some point today with the updates and changes I plan on making. Eventually the 1.4.7 list will be frozen and only 1.5 updates will be focused on. Finally, when 1.5 is released the 1.4.7 list will be moved into it's own thread and left alone.
I am still planning quite a bit of cleanup for the list. You should see what I mean later today. I'll also do updates then.
