They never went away, after Ryan left the band they released 2 more albums which were pretty good with AJ Cavalier as the vocalist. AJ quit the band along with the Drummer Tom Schofield back in 2010, which led to Ryan McCombs rejoining the band for a tour to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Scars. Ryan quit Drowning Pool and rejoined Soil, they recorded a new album and it is good! Worth every penny.

Wouldn't have looked out of place in the earlier stuff (redefine, Halo and all that jazz).

I was in a rock club the other night when Halo came on. Pretty damn nostalgic stuff. Still an anthemic song.
I think I'll check this out on the sheer weight of that brief moment in time.
