Trying to think positively why World of Warcraft has fewer players than before.

I was considering ending my sub but have kept it going cause my wife would be upset as she likes me to keep playing with her... Well I started messing with pet battles and to my shock I'm actually enjoying it more than anything else in wow.
I don't see much posted about this so was curious hw many people are playing it?

You'll need to look a little harder, the system is widely discussed in a mostly positive light.
