PSU and RAM aren't connected in any way directly, there's a motherboard between them always which dictates the compatibility.
Most if not all Kingston HyperX sticks are 1.65v RAM iirc, and you should use 1.5v or lower with latest Intel processors. This might be relevant to you or not.

Out of DDR3 sticks 32 are 1.5v or lower and 60 are 1.6v or higher.
So yeah. Most HyperX RAM sticks are too high voltage for IB like I said.
