Wow, well if you've played for nearly 6 years you must be right. Don't mind the fact that most if not all highly established metal bands have been touring for over 20 years.

That is the most moot point ever. If I was talking to a musician, this would be a worthy debate. But sadly it's not. It's your opinion vs mine, no valid points at all. zzz.

Sorry but you're coming of like a massive douche. You really don't think metal guitarists are talented?

I don't doubt that there are talented musicians that play Metal music, Slash is a mighty fine guitarist, but most of this nu-metal shit is appalling. Bands like Bring me the Horizon play riffs that any average joe could. I prefer exceptional over mediocre.

Of course there's band that's famous and still are very mediocre, but saying as a blanket statement about METAL that their riffs are bad is like saying Pop is bad because Nicki Minaj is fucking horrible artist.

I agree with you, completely. Just most metal nowadays is cringe. The closest to metal I could bear listening to is Guns 'n' Roses and that's purely for the fact that their guitarist knows what he's doing.

I think that just means you've not listen to good metal then.
