Unreal Tournament broke my spacebar.
Unreal Tournament broke my spacebar.
I've never had a controller fail on me (or even a console at that) but then again I take good care of them and the only thing that ever really happens to them is they occasionally fall on the carpeted floor. If I ever get mad I just slam my fist on my desk and that's about it. I wouldn't throw a controller, and I can't really think of too many games where the playstyle causes you to abuse them. And I can get really into my gaming.
I am, however, a keyboard killer. Spilled water on one and that was that. I later bought a logitech g10 and that shit the fan one feature at a time. Then I bought a new Logitech and spilled ice cream all over it while slightly intoxicated, which is the one I use now. Still works fine but despite some efforts to clean this thing it's quite nasty. I don't think I'll be buying any more expensive keyboards after this, because the only ones that last seem to be the 3 dollar ones that I don't spill water on.
I've destroyed a few mouse buttons by spam clicking in a lot of dungeon crawlers like Diablo... Although I'm happy to say that I will never be as bad as my friends little brother, I swear he went through a few X-Box controllers a month playing COD.

What do you call a tsundere Wookie? Chew-b-b-baka
I've never destroyed anything i have, mainly 'cause i don't have enough money so i have to focus my anger on thinking on random stuff, trying not to rage much, instead i get massively annoyed, like in LoL, instead of raging and playing better I start getting less concentration thus making my team lose.
SOCOM.
I think I spent more on controllers than I did on my 2 PS2's.
I've always had awkwardly large hands and my favorite controller was always the XBox duke style controller. I must have gone through a dozen of them playing halo ce and 2 all hours of the night. BXR & BXL who knew that those were bad for controllers?
Mario Party games were always tough on controllers. As far as rage-induced damage, during S5 I broke a keyboard over my knee.
that games sounds familiar to me, my uncle used to own the ps2 when it was brand new, then he gifted it to me because i didn't even use it (like after a year of having it) due to his work, always saw that game but never got interested on it, then my sister took my ps2 when i didn't nottice and took it to her home, sometimes I want it back just to play some fun games :'c...
Now i remember one... Deux ex: HR, on one of the first sub-missions, the one where you have to go into a gang street and catch a "big fish", on one of the lastest parts of the mission you had to get into a gang house and kill the gang members but let the leader alive, I didn't know and threw 2 grenades, result: Quest fucked up... lost like 2 hours and my game was saved after the first mission... haven't played it back yet.
And the other one with deus ex was when i showed the game to my dad (he loves playing video games, even buys games for himself on his steam acc), left him playing a while and he decided it was a fun idea to start a new game and upload it to my steamcloud when i was on the last stage... a bit of anger came to me.
I nearly broke my wireless GC controller when playing through Viewtiful Joe for the first time.
Some guy broke his keyboard in two after i repeatedly shot him with the AWP in CS:S on a lan. I quietly shut down the game for 30 minutes as he was sitting pretty close to me.
My Razer Deathadder died in less than a month from using the thumb buttons as ctrl/alt modifiers. Cheap PoS.
I have a feeling my PS3 controller won't live from Blops 2, the whole "press the thumbstick down to sprint" thing doesn't look like it'll hold up, but we'll see!
Three words: Test Your Might!
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas made me throw one of my controllers against the wall and crack it. Fucking remote control airplane mission. I still can't do that shit.
really? it was one of the fastest i did, like it took me 3 times the first playthrough, last month i started it again, took me only 1, the only mission i fucking hated in that game was the airplane one that you have to catch and steal (the one were you had to use a little plane to get a ring in order to steal it) OH MAN THAT MISSION THAT FUCKING LITTLE MISSION! luckily it took me just 3 tries this time.
Never broke or worn out a console controller, as I never did spend too much time on one. I have worn out mice, headsets and mousepads though, I've had horrible luck with mice. Went through an MX510, 2 MX518's, 2 Deathadders, a G500 and a Razer Naga. All the Razor mice was the scroll wheel and side button I used the most, the Logitech mice was the LClick on all of them. I wasn't hard on them, I've just had horrible luck with them. I've fried 2 sets Sennheiser HD555's and I had the volume control go bad on the Corsair Vengeance 1500's. Mousepads I went though on a regular basis, playing at LAN, I always used my own mouse and mousepads. I've had probably a dozen QcK+'s during a 2 year period of CS tournaments at various LAN centers.
