I think this puzzle is harder than people make it out to be due to the path switching. It makes it difficult to get any sort of muscle memory doing it. I've actually been getting worse at it the more attempts I make. I went from getting to the presents just before the end to missing jumps by the 4th snowflake. x_X

My problem with it is the switchbacks where you turn completely around. It's just a mouse/hand/skill thing for me that doesn't work well.
