Do you have a quote of him saying that? And where is the "lack of intelligence" in that statement? And does one statement regarding his views on one subject truly make the man "an idiot?"

He's a liberal and an acquaintance of mine. I wouldn't quite call him a "friend," but we often have political discussions and debates. I don't see what's wrong with referring to someone as "my liberal friend."

Shows at least a correlation between the two.

And why don't you classify yourself as a liberal, given your classification as a socialist?

Correlation in a single state is hardly indicative of a uniform causation.

I love when Republicans start throwing the RINO label around. They are truly going to eat their own.

Also, having looked at the poll options, I'm conflicted. I don't want to kick anyone out of the party; I want to invite more people in. I already don't watch the news, so *head explosion*.

It depends on the people in question. Swazi is not known to actually respond to reason or counterarguments.
The human mind is a machine. It cannot act irrationally. We may not understand how a specific individual processes his thoughts, but we can be sure that there is, in fact, a process. Swazi Spring did not spawn into existence with these ideas in his head. His experiences in life shaped his mentality. If you want to truly understand why he thinks the way he does, simply labeling him a fool does not actually produce anything meaningful. And once again, I cannot stress this enough, understanding does not remotely equate with agreeing.

Personally, I find people like him to be fascinating. They can be a wealth of information. If you can figure out what caused a person to think the way they do, to be so zealous over something, then suddenly you understand so much more about the world.

Huge difference between responding to a post, and responding to counterarguments in a logical way. I've given up though, I'll just watch from the peanut gallery.

well even though it does show a decline. a national chart would be best though on that.

The government would wants to stay in power first and foremost, thus using high-yield ordinances are out of the question, especially in densely populated areas. Not all of the soldiers would likely side with the government. Many would either abstain from fighting altogether or join the rebels.

But as you'd be the first to say, correlation doesn't imply causation. For example, I could overlay the federal assault weapons ban from 1994-2004 and make another claim that fits the USA homicide rate.

Non sequitur. Huge difference between a process, and whether that process is rational/irrational. Really this just made no sense.

I cannot stress enough how you have found no post of mine that equate "understanding" with "agreeing" or where I was "simply labeling him a fool".

I know. I was showing where he might have obtained the idea that it does fit his argument.

When the question is posed, I don't see why the answer shouldn't be given. The scenario may be out there, but you did ask him about it.

It's one example, we can pull up pretty much half the "shows" he's ever done as perfect examples of his lunacy. For instance he claimed that Obama purposely told the national hurricane center to reroute the predicted path of hurricane Isaac so that it would seem like it was going to hit the Republican convention "because Obama was scared of Mitt Romney" and that Obama telling the hurricane center to do this actually changed the path of the hurricane to go... right where it was predicted to go. He didn't believe that the predicted path was come up with based on measurements or patterns, but was a giant Obama weather-controlling conspiracy.
