Coins are more exciting because they do that little spiny thing, and you wonder what you've got. Then if you get loot there's a split second pause where you know you got loot but it doesn't say the item!

Whenever I win something useful. Nothing is more annoying than winning a helm 3 weeks in a row instead of a weapon. Same helm, same boss, 3 times.

Im never happy in LFR only do it on new tier when gear migh be needed and go in as BM spec and idle.

Loot instantly then loot again when i get coin makes me go....
But when i get no loot then no loot again i want to throw my comp out the window and give up.

Coin. It feels like you somehow cheated the system. It's like the boss said "haha, you may have bested me, but you didn't get any loot!" and you're like "oh yea? WELL I HAVE A COIN! SKADOOSH!" and you get loot anyways.
