Florida Judge orders Teen to serve 1 month in jail for swearing

I found this to be hilarious. I personally would have stopped at the extra bail, but she deserved to get taught a lesson.

it was a bad idea on her part but bail being doubled for saying adios seems a bit stupid, really just abuse of power.

    What the hell?
If I were that girl I'd take up with a human rights court. This can't be legal.

She could probably appeal it successfully.

Doubt it, this is Florida we're talking about.

Oh, hey, a judge enjoying the ability to fuck with a young girl. I'm shocked!

Good. I hope the girl learned her lesson. Sometime you have to be tough. Generation today need more tough love.

I don't get why saying adios tacked on five thousands additional charge to the crime....Something about this judge doesn't seem right.

So he doubled her bail for her saying 'Adios'?

I can't imagine what my bail would be after I'd finished telling him what I thought of that. Sanctimonious cunt.

Eh, waste of expensive jail resources.

What was so wrong about saying "adios", you act like a dick and someone might curse at you for it. She should of known he had power to abuse though and kept quiet.

Is that honestly even legal for him to do? Maybe the cursing and obscene gesture could up the bail, but saying adios? 30 days jail with no priors?

I guess he missed the part where a good amount of people in Florida are spanish, wow.

Judge has to have complete control in the courtroom this person was being extremely disrespectful. although it may be tough sentence thats why you don't mess around in the courtroom.

Yeah, that seems to be the only lesson to be learned here - the criminal "justice" system is full of terrible people that enjoy hurting others. Be wary around them and don't trust them.

What the fuck? Why did she get charged an extra 5k for saying adios? I don't blame her for being pissed off. Fucking assholes.

Yeah, saying, "adios" is pretty out of control, it clearly merits imposing bail beyond someone's means. A person reacting negatively in a flash moment where they see their freedom stolen from them is surely deserving of punishment. Great point.
