That's a harsh one. The same could be said for absolutely anything if you are going to categorize a hobby like that.

Someone who is on the internet all the time, someone who games all the time, someone who watches every American drama, someone who's seen every episode of Dr. Who, or any other hobby that consumes a fair amount of a persons time. Then it would be obvious that said person would talk about it to others.

But you see, if you have a hobby which varies from the popular "cool" ones, you are deemed weird and anti-social. It's basically how the world works.

"Shine Bright" isn't a misuse of the word "Bright". Since "Bright" is an adjective, it doesn't need to be used as an adverb in this instance.

Bright refers to shine, which is a verb, so bright is an adverb.

What's wrong with obsessions?

Nothing much. If said obsession interrupts productivity or someone's life, it should be weird. I don't mind obsessions, but in response to anime obsessions, that's just ignorance. If any obsession is a true obsession, and not something like "oh yeah I'm OBSESSED with pizza," it would seriously affect someone's life. I think the word "obsession" is generally undervalued. It's like the word addicted. "I'm ADDICTED to coca-cola!" Yea... no.
