The game that literally put Valve on the map for anyone that didn't like FPS.

There's no replay value really to it, but there just aren't many games that can reproduce the fun of those 5 to 10 hrs. The game also ages very very well.

I see that list as the entire series got to that spot, but they chose one of the games to take the spotlight.

I really would choose diferently, though... Like, would have put Final Fantasy 7 instead of 10, and Ocarina of Time instead of Wind Waker... But they are still there!

Honestly, am I the only one who never thought Half Life/HL2 weren't that great of games? They're giant hallways. The first game had barely any story, and the second it feels like the story is tacked on. I can understand genuinely enjoying the game, but people arguing they should be in the top 10 greatest games of all time...?

Well it changed the storytelling in FPS quite a bit. I personally liked it more than 1 but 1 is also pretty good on what it did back then.

Also it seems that the list is rather odd because they "refresh it every year". They cant just copy paste the list now can they?

Everyone else is trying to figure it out aswell. Dunno how 1-6 got there, #10 - 15 seem to be more like a Top 5 than the actual Top 5.

Although its a great achievement that not many games will ever achieve.
