Jedi, but more Revan or Baradan Jusik jedi.
My personality would make me a jedi, rule my emotion instead of being ruled by it, then again they are a tad too strict, a middle ground between the two would be the best
Well of the two extremes, I'll pick Jedi. Evil always has a way to bite you in the ass.
Putin khuliyo
i would be neutral but if i had to choose either of the two i would be sith.
neutral because i would work for either side depending on what will benefit me
HAKUNA MATATA... IT MEANS NO WORRIES FOR THE REST OF YOUR DAYS
I've always liked Sith's more than Jedi's, i usually prefer the the darker side/evil in most universes.
Isn't all this "love is forbidden" BS something Lucas threw at us in the prequel trilogy? Wasn't the Jedi way pretty sensible in the original trilogy?
Anyways, Jedi obviously. According to the bullcrap PT the sith are pure evil and I'm not evil. :P
You learned more about Jedi than you did about Sith, in that Jedi could display no emotion.
Anger = Dark Side
Love leads to fear, which leads to anger, which leads to anger, which leads to suffer = Dark Side
In all of the above (original trilogy, or the 3 prequels), you never hear that the Sith are just about Passion. Not just the Dark Side of the Force.
Really you don't learn about any of that from the movies. Partially because of the way that Lucas wanted/needed to tell his story. It only becomes clearer once you can read some of the books, or play some of the games (KOTOR comes to mind).
Sith because red light sabers.
And force lightning is awesome.
Plus force choking people could be really useful in a situation where you just want someone to stfu xD
Neutral Sith.
Do what I want because I want to.
I'd be a jedi but without that fanatic mentality and with the lookst of a shady sith.
I prefer Jedi, but wouldn't become either, because getting rid of emotions isn't so good, and the other side is just evil.
Jedi, as long as we're talking Luke's time as a Jedi Master and onwards. From the point where he begins to understand why the older Jedi (Yoda) had placed their faith in him precisely because he was young and still not in complete control of his feelings. Yoda actually recognised that the Order's old way of purging oneself of all emotions was detrimental to the Jedi's supposed "cause" to help the Galaxy.
In my opinion, the Jedi originally fell because they did not understand the rest of humanity enough, because they became too detached. How can most sentient beings remain emotionless while atrocities are being committed? But by virtue of the Jedi Code, you mustn't feel anger. Yet in order to understand anger, and to deal with it effectively, you have to be allowed to go through it first, if only to come out the other side wiser.
I'd have been a grey Jedi or no Jedi at all if we're referring to the time periods before Luke was borne. I can't be a Sith, since they take things the other extreme, and still do; they havent evolved at all. Feeling nothing but anger and using that to drive you blinds you to a multitude of opportunities and chances, the same way that being purged of emotion does. Plus the whole thing where they justify crimes and atrocities because they're essentially throwing a tantrum with their powers.
^ It's a very well written post, and I don't necessarily disagree with anything. I didn't ever think about what you said about Yoda. I'd just like to point out that the Sith doesn't feel anger only. They emphasize the necessity of passion and strife, so while they aim for more conflict (as they think that's the only way to advance) they do feel all kinds of emotions. They think that anger, fear and pain are natural emotions that aid people in their survival. I guess those three are the main feelings that symbolize the Sith, but they most likely feel all kinds of emotions.
Cave Cave Deus Videt
I'd pick Jedi, but I'd want to be a "neutral Jedi" working as a bounty hunter, with none of the light/dark nonsense.
Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh. You touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding.
You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it.
