So, i'm in China... do they have laptops here?

I've been working in China for a few months now, and my laptop is starting to show what Packard-Bell means about lasting performance

So i've decided to get a laptop, since over here hardware is supposed to be cheaper, right? Problem is, i'm completely out of the loop when it comes to specs... last time i bought a computer thinking of top gaming performance, it was a PC with a Voodoo card
So, what are the numbers i should go for, keeping in mind i don't want "top" performance, just something medium range... like "top budget" option?
i5 or i7? anything else regarding the CPU?
    Is 4GBs of RAM enough?
What are the ... code numbers i'm looking for in the nVidia or Radeon cards? I don't want to get stuck with a card with modern architecture but of very low performance, obviously...

This is the page where i'm checking things: http://www.360buy.com/products/670-6...0-0-1-1-1.html
And a couple of options, in my ignorant opinion, seem good... what do you guys think of them?

(Web is in chinese, but chrome's translator is somewhat good -though bing translates chinese a lot better-).

It would help to know what you use the computer for. Gaming, Vid editing, General web browsing? If gaming then what games and if editing then what software. Unless you plan to edit/Render then an I7 is overkill, I5 would be the way to go for most people. 4gb is prob fin for the average laptop user but again this depends on what you will be doing with the computer. If gaming and the like then 8gb is a better option. Some one else will have to chime in on the GPU because i am not familiar with Laptop GPU's I would also be very careful buying it in china, are you there long term? A lot of Chinese products use cheaper parts then what you are paying for, not to mention the knockoff market it huge. If you will be traveling outside the area anytime soon you may want to look into purchasing it elsewhere or ordering online from a reputable dealer.

Yes, i meant gaming performance. So usually i would be after a better graphic performance, but as i plug the laptop to a wide screen, screen size is of no importance. Basically i want something where i can play wow and swtor at very good specs, and where i can play civ5 without the laptop dying on me (yes, it's as sad as it sounds... civ5 isn't even that demanding graphically! maybe it's because of CPU demand?).

So we are already past the 4GBs in RAM... wow...

I will be here at least 15 more months, and i might be even a year after. If i was to stay here that third year for sure, i would even buy a cheap quality tabletop, but with that uncertainty, i rather get something i can take back home with me.

A decent gaming laptop will cost you at minimum around 1000 dollars or so.

    I'm using this: https://www.asus.com/ROG/G74SX/

And it does everything you wanted it to do... Meaning WoW runs like a charm and it should run SWTOR without problems as well. And it never overheats.
Using a separate screen for a laptop will kinda reduce your performance a bit as the mobile cards are not really "designed for it", though the performance difference is not really noticeable unless you play a game like Tera that kinda demands a lot from your rig. For WoW it is a non-issue at least.

That one should be around 900 dollars or so if you get the 15'' version, maybe even cheaper.
