Victory kickstarter flops (bad news or good news for EoN?)

    http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/03/18/vi...rter-campaign/

So, some of you have probably followed this little drama, perhaps even played in the EoN alpha/beta.
Trion was discontent with the work petroglyph did on End of Nations and decided to finish it in house (under trion). We have yet to hear anything but "we are working on it. You will hear stuff soon*TM"
Petroglyph moved to create End of Nations under a different name, "victory", and headed to kickstarter.
    So now this has happened.

Some believe this is good news for EoN because it will have less competition.
On the other hand, the lack of interest in Victory does not bode well for End of Nations popularity. Sure, it will have Trion's amazing name tagged to it, but if the fan base isn't large enough, it isn't large enough.

What do you guys think? Are we going to hear about a End of Nations beta reboot in the next few weeks? Are we going to hear that it's been cancelled?
Are we going to hear anything soon*TM?

They're really a mid-tier developer without much name recognition, so it's not too surprising to see the KS fail. Though barely hitting 30k out of the 700k is embarrassing.

I don't necessarily think it's reflective of the desire for a MMORTS/RTS in general, but more a reflection of the confidence people have in Petroglyph. I'm glad that Trion brought EoN in-house and hope that when it finally comes out it will be a solid game.
