Major shareholders dump part of their stock all the time. It's how they diversify and actually convert stock into spending money. The only reason it's "news" is that it is required that they report it.

This is only a real concern if he's dumping a large part of his shares, but that wasn't apparent from the article. If it *is*, we'll likely see more stories to that effect.

The information doesn't reference whether or not what's sold was a majority share. For all we know, he just decided to buy his kid a bunch of houses and still has control.

843K shares sold for a company that has outstanding shares of around 1,113,696,788. I don't think that qualifies as a majority anything. Stock price today is near its 52 week trading high. It's a good time to sell. ATVI is up nearly 40% for the year. You'd think they were successful or something. Average daily volume traded is something over 9 million shares a day.
