Even if we have horrible schools than the average, the statistics speak for themselves. Oddly, regardless that we're "the wealthiest" and "the most powerful" country in the world, our education is HORRIBLE compared to other countries who would be considered disadvantaged compared to us.

That's our census data concerning poverty, and keep in mind, the rates are probably much higher because it's VERY hard to get good census data on people who are homeless or otherwise hard to find.

Looking at some of their data, it seems our highest poverty level by state is Mississippi with 21% poverty.

Makes sense. I get where you're coming from.

But just to be clear.. capitalism may be broken in your country, but that doesn't mean it's an overall flawed concept.

But honestly, I just love the class system. The idea of self betterment (through meritocracy, for example) and becoming better than another just.. works for me. Although I don't entirely believe that the working class should be stepped all over, and pushed to horrible living conditions. Yet I'm also not so pro-welfare state as the system is prone to abuse by those who are at the back end of society, for example.
