Megaera Help [Warlock Specific]

So, my guild just killed Megaera yesterday in 2 attempts, I'm quite happy about that.

Okay, so our (Or actually, just my) problem is that our warlock was dotting up the blue head when our strat was ignoring and going for G-R repeat till dead.
Atleast he was on the first attempt untill I asked him not to, and then on our second attempt we killed it, and he did more damage on the green and red heads, but still kept saying that he was doing less DPS that "mattered". Is he right that he should dot up the blue head?

He should only bee keeping corrupton on the head that is not the kill target to get more Nightfall proccs to keep higher uptime on Haunt, tho if he is using SB:SS to fully DoT the second head he is just padding and the whole point is moot

It seems your warlock would be playing affliction so the only dot that would benefit having on the head you're not killing would be corruption. So he would have a chance to regain some more soul shards. It seems on the first try you guys did he did way to much damage to the blue head and was fully dotting it up which is him just padding the meters making them look nice.
