    Heroes that best represent classes!

So I was discussing this topic in guild chat the other day and it made for an interesting chat on what hero of the Warcraft world best represents each class. So I thought I'd open a thread and see what is everybody else's opinion on this! Let's start:

Warrior: Tough one; I'd say Lothar or Broxigar.

    Hunter: Uhhh. Rexxar?

Shaman: Um. Thrall? Not sure on this one. Perhaps Ner'zhul.

    Rogue: Garona.

    Mage: Khadgar.

    Druid: Malfurion Stormrage, obviously.

Monk: Totally new to WoW so I'm not entirely sure. Perhaps Taran Zhu? Or Chen.

Warlock: Gul'dan. Derp. Said Teron Gorefiend before (brainfart )

Priest: >.< Alonsus Faol? Not Benedictus, at least. Perhaps Tyrande, in her Priestess of the Moon role?

Paladin: Toughest one yet. Either Uther, Turalyon or Tirion. I'd say Uther.

Death Knight: Arthas as a Death Knight, and then as the Lich King. No contest here.

What do you think? What character best represents the WoW classes?

Really sucks if they start to limit their vision for an expansion just to get the next one out faster.
BLOOD DPS. Never forget. Still campaigning to get you back, babe.

    Warrior: Grom Hellscream

Hunter: Rexxar but should be Alleria

    Shaman: Thrall or Nerzhul

Rogue: Garona but you never play as her

Mage: Khadgar even though Medivh is more powerful he just dies too early in the game.

    Druid: Malfurion

    Monk: Chen Stormstout

    Warlock: Guldan

    Priest: Tyrande or WC1 priest

    Paladin: Uther

Death Knight: Arthas should be Teron Gorefiend

Warrior: Well, almost anyone not specifically shown to be a member of another class. Varian and Garrosh maybe?

Hunter: To me it's still that nameless Dwarf from the original WoW launch cinematic :P

    Shaman: I'd say Thrall.

    Rogue: Garona of course

Mage: Like, heaps... I guess Jaina is the most prominent.

Druid: Yeah Malfurion. Although Hamuul got a fair bit of screen time in Cata.

Monk: Shame on you! Obviously it's Chen Stormstout!

Warlock: Gul'dan. Pfft as if Teron Gorefiend was a Warlock...

Priest: Mmm, I'd say it's Anduin now.

Paladin: Again, heaps of these. I'd go with Uther too.

Death Knight: New kind - Arthas. Old kind - Teron Gorefiend.

    Warrior: Grom Hellscream

Hunter: She's a ranger, but since there are no rangers, hunter is closest. Sylvanas. Perhaps her sister Vereesa.

    Shaman: Thrall

    Rogue: Garona.

Mage: Jaina. Or maybe Richard Knaap's god-like Rhonin.

    Druid: Malfurion.

Monk: Barely played MoP, so I'll leave blank.

    Warlock: Kil'Jaeden.

    Priest: Tyrande.

    Paladin: Uther.

    Death Knight: Arthas.

Teron *was* a warlock before he was killed and turned into a Classic Death Knight. Oh and named clerics? Uther, Tirion and Turalyon were all clerics before becoming Paladins.

Akama was never a Shaman though, he was a priest turned funky rogue-sneaky-Broken-kama-fighting-special dude. (In WoW that is, after the "great Draenei lore change".)

Amazing sig, done by mighty Lokann

I do remember him being Rogue-y in WC3 but in WoW they kind of turned him into a Shaman of sorts (though he can still stealth and Sap you, as seen in Warlock's green fire chain).

    Warrior: Lothar

Hunter: Rexxar is the closest thing to a real hunter hero so... him.

    Shaman: Ner'zhul.

    Rogue: Valeera Sanguinar

    Mage: Khadgar or Rhonin.

    Druid: Malfurion Stormrage.

    Monk: Gonna go with Chen.

    Warlock: Gul'dan.

    Priest: Tyrande.

Paladin: Absolutely positively Highlord Alexandros Mograine, The Ashbringer, who is probly the single most powerful Paladin lore.

Death Knight: Arthas, obviously... if not, Highlord Darion Mograine or Alexandros when he was a Death Knight.

A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don’t have one, you’ll probably never need one again.

Rexxar wasn't really a Hunter... the Hunter is a fusion of Rexxar's Beast Master class and the many Archer type units in the RTS series. So in that sense Alleria is as much a Hunter as Rexxar is.

Well TECHNICALLY he was the soul of an Orc Necrolyte put into the body of a Human Knight. I don't think either counts though.

Oh now that's just plain cheating. We didn't even see that in-game!

Did he ever actually appear in game? In any game? Except as a ghost in flashback...

Appearing in game was never a requirement for making the list now was it? Hero of the Warcraft world was the term used, that encompasses all of Warcraft's combined lore... Besides he did appear in game, he was one of the Four Horsemen in the original Naxxramas and a decent amount of lore was placed into the game surrounding him and his sword back in classic, with loads more being added in WotLK.

Warrior: Lots of choices, but I'd narrow it down to either Orgrim or Lothar.

Hunter: Beast Masters: Rexxar. Rangers: Sylvanas. Both: Oddly enough, Tyrande, even though she's not really a hunter. She's the only important lore character I can think of with both a range weapon and an animal companion. Maybe Nathanos Blightcaller.

    Shaman: Thrall

    Rogue: Garona

    Mage: Medivh

    Druid: Malfurion Stormrage

    Monk: Chen Stormstout

    Warlock: Gul'dan

    Priest: Velen

Paladin: Uther. Next would probably be Alexandros Morgraine, Turalyon or Tirion Fordring.

    Death Knight: Arthas Menethil

    Only answering with the Living.

    Warrior: Easy King Varian Wrynn

Hunter: Technically a Sentinal, she was the most powerful NPC in the game, however she uses nothing but Hunter Powers. Shandris Feathermoon

    Shaman: Thrall, indisputable.

Rogue: Lord Jorach Ravenholdt. Granted they haven't done much with him, and his main man was a black dragon. Hopefully we will see more of him in some future point.

Mage: Jaina Proudmoore, non better or more powerful

    Druid: Malfurion Stormrage, obviously.

Monk: Chen with out a doubt.

Warlock: without Question, Kil'jaeden. He is not only a powerful Warlock but he is the Leader of the Eredar.

Priest: Tyrande She is to priestess what Jaina is to Mages.

    Paladin: Turalyon or Tirion Fordring

Death Knight: Bolvar Fordragon Since Arthas is dead.

If he was still alive or even undead I would have put him on my list. However he's been dead for a long time now.

Teron was a warlock and not a necrolyte, and yes Mograine did appear in game - boss in old Naxx.

Only answering with pre-WoW lore. Hate lore written on pieces of toilet paper.

    Warrior: Orgrim Doomhammer.

    Hunter: Shandris or Windrunner Sisters

Shaman: Vol'jin. Just do the freaking Horde campaign in WC3.

    Rogue: Garona

Mage: Aszhara. Lore-wise she was a match for even KJ and Archimonde.

    Druid: Cenarius

Warlock: Archimonde. KJ is cleverer and such, but Archi had more raw power.

    Priest: Tyrande Whisperwind

    Paladin: Turalyon

    Death Knight: Arthas

    Warrior : Varian

Hunter : if Rexxar is considered hunter .. then him. If not no one.

    Shaman : Drek

Rogue : no idea.. i'd say the NE guy we help at beginning of Jade Forest

Paladin : Contest between Uther and Tirion

    Monk : Chen

Warlock : no idea .. i'd say Illidan since he was more of a lock than a demon hunter in the end anyways

Priest : Velen or Tyrande ( I know Tyrande's powers but I have only heard of Velen's ones )

    Mage : Jaina

    Druid : Malfurion

    Death Knight : Arthas.

Warrior: Anduin Lothar or Orgrim Doomhammer

Hunter: Nathanos Blightcaller, this guy is a badass.

Shaman: Thrall, i dont want him to be it, but he is. Thanks metzen.

    Mage: Medivh

    Druid: Malfurion

    Monk: Chen

    Warlock: Gul'dan or Medivh, again.

Priest: Tyrande and Paletress (Cause i like her )
