Best: all the quests related to Rhok'delar and Lok'delar.
Worst: Golden Lotus dailies. Especially before Commendations.
Best: all the quests related to Rhok'delar and Lok'delar.
Worst: Golden Lotus dailies. Especially before Commendations.
Best: The Battle for the Undercity
Reason: Taking back my favorite city and fighting alongside my two favorite faction leaders was glorious.
Worst: The Green Hills of Stranglethorn
Reason: Anyone who played back in the day knows the reason.
Best:
Battered Hilt quests, The Day that Deathwing Came
Also used to love when Stitches would come to attack Darkshire, it was like Hogger but more epic.
Worst:
Goretusk Liver Pie.
Worst:
BRD Jailbreak. Because it took _forever_ to complete that crap. One DC (which was quite common on high pop servers back in the days) and you had to do it all over.
Green hills of Stranglethorn. Winning the lottery was probably easier than manage to collect all the pages without using the AH. (Although you could make some good money of it in the process)
Best:
Rhok'delar and Lok'delar chain. By far the best quest in the game.
Also tapping those four bosses with your alts when other hunters was on them was quite fun as well. Especially in the beginning when the respawn timers were several hours :P
True but did that make them fun to do? I mean sure making lots of cash is fun - fun in a way about "what to do with all these monies". But personally I don't think this thread is about "what questline made you the most profit?"
Don't read my comment as negative tho. I asked this question because I sincerely was surprised by the answer the guy I previously quoted gave.
my fav was the Brutal armor quest line for warriors and the whirlwind weapon quest lines. least fav is anything that involves killing turtles because they have terrible drops rates on everything.
Best: Opening the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj. Best bit of classic.
Worst: http://www.wowhead.com/quest=982/deep-ocean-vast-sea In my waking dreams I still hear the gurgling. Classic's breath timer, the respawn rate, the near-invisibility of quest objects, the respawn rate, the glitching, the respawn rate, the aggro range and domino effect... the respawn rate...
Looking marvelous in velvet.
The old Fallen Hero of the Horde quest line was amazing. There are still pieces of it left in current Blasted Lands, but it is not nearly the insane adventure that it once was. Very little after Wrath stood out to me as memorable, though the "You are dismissed" bit was pretty epic. Most of the quests that stand out now are for humor or annoyance rather than any real in game quality.
As much as I hated Vashj'ir, I do have to say that the Battlemaiden quests were among the best post-Wrath. Twilight Highlands had some really good ones towards the end.
I agree that there's a little too much humor and not enough real adventure yet, even though I loved all of Uldum as well. Maybe it's because I've never seen any of the Indiana Jones movies, so I didn't really get the references. I screamed and cheered at the end though when (no spoilers) you know who jumped out of that thing.
Worst: pretty much most escort quests before the revamp. The most boring one was probably having to escort the turtle in Tanaris from the entrance of un'goro to the top part at the coast. Most frustrating one has to be the one that was removed from felwood in Jaedenar. Died several times as those felguards did hurt and when I finally came to the exit almost completing the quest I had some a**hole ganking me... just before I could complete it... And I know he was just waiting for me there.
Second in line were the old quest were you had to travel back and forth on foot because you constantly got a quest to kill the other mobs in that area. Example:
crossroad, get quest to kill 10 harpies -> walk 10 minutes -> kill lesser harpies -> walk back 10 minutes -> hand in quest to recieve a quest to kill the other type of harpies -> walk 10 minutes -> kill other type of harpies -> walk back 10 minutes -> hand in quest, now get quest to kill the leader -> walk 10 minutes -> kill harpy leader -> walk back 10 minutes -> hand in quest-> you praying that you don't have to go back there or hoping you don't get the same routine again, but now in a different area.
I recall that when I walked from TB to Orgrimmar with my Tauren (before zep service and no FPs discovered) took me 30 minutes.
Best: AQ-line was pretty cool, although I couldn't finish it in time before the patch (couldn't get the ingots in time).
Worst: The Healing of Shen-zin Su
Reason: An enormous pain in the ass if you're the only one doing that quest at the time simply because of the low respawn time of saurok, the sheer number that like to attack each druid/priest at a time, and even after you get them to the scar they are quickly picked off if you aren't checking on them every 10 seconds. That and worst of all, if you die while in that phasing alone the meter resets. More tedious than "challenging" as far as I'm concerned, especially for a starter quest.
Best: The Darrowshire quest chain (vanilla version seemed slightly better)
Reason: When I was new to the game and the Lich King / Scourge was the big, major storyline to follow, this quest sort of made me realize just how devastating Arthas' crusade was and exactly what kind of enemy I was going to be fighting when I eventually worked my way up to level 80. It was also quite emotionally gripping and felt rewarding just to be exposed to the story, despite Chromie's little cup of tea as your final reward.
"If I didn't have bad luck I'd have no luck at all."
Best : Fangs of the Father quest chain, i always loved questing as a Rogue and those are pretty much the funnest you can get for the playstyle.
Worst : Gonna go with poop quests too, always thought it was gross and toilet humor doesn't work with me.

Never thought it was that bad, there was always cheap pages on the neutral AH, i guess on a lower pop server maybe it sucked a bit more.
This fucker right here: http://www.wowhead.com/quest=571/mok...ns-enchantment Dat drop rate.
