    Which comp to buy?

    http://www.komplett.se/k/ki.aspx?sku=793074
    http://www.komplett.se/k/ki.aspx?sku=783620

These 2 are the ones I've been deciding about. But I have no idea which to choose. The 2nd one are supposed to have a better GPU and apparently a noisy PSU and the 1st one I assume (?) has a better CPU. I guess I could mix parts and stuff but I'm not 100% sure on which parts that work with one another.

Will be buying OS, CPU cooler and Storage HDD on the side so I want the main parts to be at around ~2000 USD ~12 000 Swedish crowns

Will be using the computer for games like WoW, LoL BF 4 etc. Perhaps some streaming too, not sure tho. 1920x1080 reso.

    Thanks

First one imo. Second one is better for overclocking CPU and GPU, though.

I would personally avoid prebuilts like this and buy individually but idk how prices are in Sweden

Second one. The PSU on the first one is crap, been reading it has some bad components which may stop working properly after a couple of years.

But it might be cheaper to just build your own. If you are not confident enough, you can always just order all parts at a shop and let them build it for you

Well, I need to build it on my own. I'm in the third year of high school or what ever and we have something called a project or "thesis"(according to google translate)
and I've decided to build a computer and write like a guide or w/e on how to build it. I was planning on buying a new comp anyways so I checked with the teachers if I could do this and it was ok so I went for it.

Oh yeah since the site is swedish I guess you didn't get it (and I forgot to mention), however the "PC" comes in parts, its not a prebuilt!

How would these parts work out, http://www.komplett.se/k/ki.aspx?sku=791848 and change the GTX 760 to one of those 770's in the first post? Either the twin frozr or the lightning, I really don't know what the difference is.

    Or perhaps this one? http://www.inet.se/kundvagn/visa/3970749/2013-10-04

OK, nvm everything above, does these parts work well together? http://www.inet.se/kundvagn/visa/3970921/hencc-s-dator

    Yeah those should work fine.
Only thing I would change is going for a 7970 Ghz edition. It performs just as good as a 770 in BF4 (from the top of my head) and in other games as well. While it is cheaper. And with Mantle coming, it might perform significantly better than a 770 in BF4 and other games which support Mantle.

Another option would be to wait for the new cards from AMD, which should launch this month. NDA should lift on October 15.

if you want to stick with Nvidia, the 770 is a good option.

Hm alright thanks, got no problem with AMD, using a sapphire HD 6950 atm

What exactly is this "mantle" tho?

And is it big difference between 2gb / 3gb?

    Reading material regarding mantle

    http://anandtech.com/show/7371/under...cs-api-for-gcn

As far as 2 GB vs 3 GB. I dont think it matters that much when you are playing on 1080p, 2 GB is more than enough.
I have been seeing that BF4 does use more than 2 GB on 1080p when it is there. But I think 2 GB will be enough to play it.

2GB is ok for current gen and older games @ 1080p but I think you'll need 3GB for AAA late 2013-Mid 2014 games

We will see how BF4 does

Thing is tho, the only cards I would consider with taking that into account are 7950/7970/7970Ghz edition/780/titan/7990. I wouldnt buy a 760/770 with 4 GB, seeing as that is pretty much wasted Vram.

I don't think 4GB 760/770 is wasted VRAM. In fact, I WISH my 760 was 4GB because then SLI for 1440p/5760x1080/higher resolutions could work well!

Is it wasted for current gen games @ 1080p for single card? Yeah.

Gonna throw it right back at you what you did to me yesterday :P (nothing bad here )

Did you check the link? :P

There is no difference between 2 GB vs 4 GB @ 1440p. The membus is just to small to properly use that extra Vram.
Maybe at 3 screens you might see a difference, but I really doubt that.

Found a review of a 4 GB 680 (which is pretty much the same chip as a 770). No difference whatsoever compared to 2 GB, the increase in performance is more linked to the higher clockspeeds.

    Find a test that compares 2GB 760/770 vs 4GB 760/770 in BF4 1440p max settings (ultra preset, 4xmsaa)

No one tests that. I can only find this, scroll down for the graphs. But I still think the 4GB is useless, mainly due to the membus.

When BF4 is launched we will most likely see benchmarks with 2GB vs 4GB.
