Read the news? I'd say they're a few if the news suddenly would report about every good thing the cops do. Do you really think they're going to report everything that happens? The cops do far more good things than bad things.

I was meaning that he could accidentally stab or cut himself. Shooting him makes that pointless, but its still a very stupid idea to tase someone with a knife in their hand.

It's not like he'd stab himself, maybe some cuts or pokes but it wouldn't go deep. The biggest worry would be falling on it.
