I think that having them "helpers" racial choice expanding outside your faction would be nice.

For example, alliance could have horde races or even naga, gnolls, stuff like that.

I think a cool way to unlock Subrace skin options is befriending different races and subraces as NPCs in your housing. Befriend a Wildhammer Gryphon rider, a series of quests for him, and he sends you to the Hinterlands or the Twilight Highlands to have dinner with his whole family at a family reunion.

Okay, kind of silly and lame.

I'd like to be able to take my followers with me like a pet in Star Wars Online follower system or Guild Wars mercenary system with your alts.
Kind of like the Mogu Warrior trinket I can summon a Mogu with. And give them lots of random flavor text. Let them be commanded outside of instances and raids, only used while soloing or questing. And maybe only a buff you get for 1-2 hours a day, then they tell you they have to go and run off the side of your screen.

I'd be cool with having your other characters hang about and help around your garrison, doing profession stuff etc. But if garrisons are on a character basis, this probably is out of the question. Stable of mounts would be nice too. Or rather, have the winged ones fly around and sit on roofs

Since Garrisons are being added so much, visable pets and mounts, achievements and Buildings and much more...

I can only thing of... decorations then... Banners, flags, armors and such.

One of my biggest wishes would be armor displays.

A armor rack (with a sorta character item equip menu (all item slots)) Then you can display your armor sets + save bank Space - then merge it with a function where you can go click it, offering that you can switch out your current gear with the gear on the rack.

The initial part may very well be part of your questing experience, but upgrading and maintaining it shouldn't be more mandatory than the farm currently is.
