Have you seen what they've done to the leveling process? They literally did nothing to make the leveling process more fun or dynamic. No rebooted quests, areas, talent system fixing, nothing. So now your only options are to power through leveling - no matter how boring/tedious it is, or pay 60 dollars. This is nothing more than extortion.
SO MUCH Q.Q
If you don't like the price level it the old fashion way but for some of us the $60 bucks is worth not spending the time leveling the toon.
Also I see some much bitching about this or that. Just realize that Blizzard will NEVER be able to make everyone happy and it’s better to let them do what they do to try and find the happy middle ground. I mean god forbid Blizzard says f&^% it and just closes up shop and shuts WOW down, I mean some of you would actual have to get off the computer and go into the real world.
I see no harm in offering a option for those impulse buyers.. I for one buy there store mounts/cosmetic gear.. Sorry but alot of new players get discouraged to continue play when 1} most low levels are heirloom stacked, 2} seeing that 90 is MAX...That BIG number can and will turn some away, and it will only get worst now that we are on our way to 100.. Blizz has known this in the past but the number was less so.. XP reduction worked great, so why not create another option now that the number has been rising..
If this pricing sticks and the expansion is $40-50.. its easier to just do this service instead of buying multiple expansion copies and moving each boosted to your real account...
Cheaper to hire a China man to level it for you. If he attempts to steal it, blizzard restores accounts for free...lol.
It takes roughly 60 hours on average for a person to level 1-90 (if you are faster or slower that's fine, this is an average) and it is 60$ for a 0. 1$ per hour, is that the price of your time? You could literally work a job for 8 hours for 8$ an hour and have enough money to pay for a lv 90. 8 hours vs 60 hours, your time vs your income. All a choice on how you value your time.
Why are people surprised? you're bypassing (literally, at least RAF you have to put the time into it) the -ENTIRE LEVELING PROCESS- in one second. I thought it was going to be more, around 100 or so, too bad it's not. I just hate the idea that they're selling 90's on the store, that very fact is beyond stupid.
This should cut down on people selling leveled accounts. That's a good thing. Don't like it? Don't use it. It doesn't affect you. Pretty simple really.
And you is a people.
How about we just all play what we like? If you like to level, great! Level your butt off. If you like end game and hate leveling, great! Pay for a boost and get to the content you want quicker. It's all about choices and priorities. More choices is never a bad thing.
Still a lot cheaper to just do RAF to 85 and level to 90. Battle chest on Sale was 5$ normally 20$, even at 20 its a lot less than 60
Yes, let's sell gear. If you like to grind BG's for honor then you can do that if not then you can buy the gear. More choices is never a bad thing.

Because giving away a level 90 characters costs them so much? No not really.
I can promise you a carrot for free, then price more carrots for € 100 a piece. That doesn't mean I gave you € 100...
Ever heard of promoting? They give you one for free so you can get a taste of it.
$60 is to much for me :/ I'd rather buy RAF or level one without it.
I'm not sure why it would cut down on account selling. I imagine the black market going rate for a levelled character would be $60 or probably less-most characters without serial achievements/mounts/pets and great gear won't sell at all.
Personally, I enjoyed levelling more than being 90. I can't see why people rush through all the great content so they hang around in the vale and talk crap in trade chat.
More I think about it, more I'm disappointed with Blizzard with the way they behave and disregard long time customers.
I fully accept that if you don't like this price, you simply don't do it. That's fine. I was hoping to use paid boosts to get two level 60's I have to 90. I've done the levelling experience over 30 times across various characters and realms. I'm sorry, it's not fresh for me, it's not fun. My fun is at endgame, and levelling at this point is a chore.
I'm playing WoW since friends and family Alpha. That's a pretty long time. And in that time I've never received a token of "Hey your playing our game for ten years straight now, to say thanks, here is a little something". This was a good opportunity for that. Since WOTLK I've felt that there should have been a token gesture, that for long-time customers, or even heavy users (who have X characters max level) there should have been an option for a free character, max level.
When I heard about the paid boosting service I thought it was a pity, as it was a missed opportunity to maybe reward customers and players. But fine I thought, it shouldn't cost too much and I'll avail of it
At $60, roughly €45, no way. Absolutely, no way. That is an outrageous price. Again it looks like Blizzard is releasing some services, with a price, to benefit those coming back to the game, or starting new, and casting aside loyal existing customers, again. It annoys me. I love WoW, I've never left it, and I won't until the day the servers close. But it's becoming increasingly frustrating as I pass over money every month as a subscription(in an increasing world of F2P games) and get very little in terms of loyalty rewards.
This is a big missed opportunity. Even the "free boost" isn't free, there is a price difference between buying a copy of WOD with the boost and not, so I've heard on the grapevine.
While I fully appreciate the argument "if you dont like it, don't pay for it", I think that's a lazy attitude to have, and one that is scared of asking the hard questions. For a company that claims to love its fans, an engage in active community engagement, it would be greatly appreciated to maybe get the odd loyalty reward every now and again, that has actual value, like a free boost.
I'd happily subscribe to another Annual Pass, if it included a free boost. But Blizzard seem to be tunnel visioning on creating micro transactions that benefit returning and new players, but are casting existing and longstanding players to the side.
I'd estimated that it would cost maybe 25-30 euros for the boost. And was happy to pay it twice, for two characters to go from 60-90 ( the price not being a variable based on the level of the character you boost is another argument). But €100 to boost two characters? Sorry Blizzard, I was eager, but now I've totally disregarded the idea. And now I have to get the two characters levelled the normal way. This will be my 30 something time levelling characters, and to be frank I'm sick of it, it's not fun, and it's a monotonous timesink to get to end game. There should be appreciation and understanding for those of us that have done the levelling game 10+ times, that it stops being fun, it stops being interesting, and it's just a stop gap from getting us to where we want to be, in this case, endgame.
Highly dissapointing announcement

Nonsense, it does affect me, and everyone like me, directly.
Another micro transaction from Blizzard that focus' on new players or returning players, and again totally disregards existing customers/players and heavy-users.
I have no issues financially with the cost, I have two 60's I want to get 90 ASAP. I could in theory pay 120 dollars no problem. But it's the principle that is holding me back from it.
I'm playing the game since Alpha. I've levelled over 30 characters across a range of different realms and servers during those years. Some deleted, some sit idle on servers that died a death or where friends left. The levelling experience is no fun anymore for people like me, it's just a time-sink, a barrier to stop me getting to what I want to have fun, i.e endgame. And there is plenty of people like me.
The question has to be asked in why services and micro transactions like these never seem to hold any benefit for existing customers/players.
Costs about $135 and up for a shady website to do the service for you. Including borrowing your account for +160 hours. (As that is the time they estimate to complete the service for you).
Buying a black market account is something different entirely tho. As you also have to incorperate the account transfer cost for just one character. So again you're cheaper off using this service.
