(I don't include this in my list, because although it is one addon technically (one addon folder), it does a little more than just one addon: ElvUI)

1: DontBugMe (See AFK and DND messages only once per char and message. seriously, how can anyone play without that addon...?)
2. ArkInventory: I pretty much tried all bag addons, but for me, AI is still by far the best, and I cannot understand how people can play with anything else or even without one.
3: BadBoy (Spam is no more)
4. Postal: Mail management like a boss
5. Examiner: Inspecting without it just does not feel right anymore.
6. Tidy Plates/Threat Plates (specifically): Same issue as with WA: for some reason, it seems to drain a shitload of CPU power in certain situations.
7: GTFO
8. OmniCC: the very best cooldown display addon
9. Weakauras: Only problem I have with that, is if there are "bad coded" auras (or simply too much), it drains a shitload of CPU Power (and thus, FPS.)
10: Opie + World Markers (specifically. Easiest way to set raid and world markers

In that order.

plus any databroker display addon, like chocolate bar. But I don't use it at the moment, because I use elvui and I don't need it, but if i wouldn't use elvui, CB would be a must have.

2. oqueue - keeps low pop servers alive and lots of ppl still playing
3. dbm - cant raid without it nowdays
4. gladius, BT targets and gladiator SA have become mandatory for PVP
