...is there any chance that they'll fix the weapon sizes?

It's funny how Gnomes for example hold 2h weapons 3 times their size while Blood Elves or Draeneis have their 2h Weapons appear half their size.

I don't know if they will but people have had the same complaint for years. Especially belf females if memory serves.

If you compare a weapon being held by a human female to a blood elf female, you'd notice a massive difference. It's one of my pet peeves in this game.
