That'd be another game I skip then. Guess I'll just stick to playing the older games of sun/moon where I can actually get them all. I think a lot of people thought that gen 9 would have it due to being further out with other games and remakes assured to be between.

No game will ever again have all Pokémon in it. Game Freak has made that pretty clear already.

it was when fire red and leaf green released you could get 'em all
with sword/shield I thought they will do the same but nope

If they did a version, where they only add new pokemon and none of old ones are there it would be fine tho.

They literally did that for black and white and people fuckingnhated it. It was a reboot, you couldn't find any old pokemon till postgame

This. Black and White get love now because the haters have moved on to hate newer Gens.
But, on launch people HATED that you could only use new mons and hated the fact six slots were used for the elemental monkeys.

I personally still don't care for Gen 5, though some of my favorite pokemon are from that Generation.

Gen 3 on launch had people annoyed there was no backwards compatibility.

I don't think Game Freak is going to launch a Generation again that lacks backwards compatibility or has no old mon available.

However, seems Dexit is here to stay which annoys me.

Gen 5's hate ranged farther than Gen 8's hate. It is weird to see during SM and SwSh people who trashed on BW suddenly defending it as good.

gen 5 was good for graphics.
thats it.
thats the only reason people praise it, cause it was the final pixel based game, and because of that was very decent looking...
well except when you looked closley... but the fights looked good atleast so yeah

I am even fine with no national dex, as long as we could port them in. To be, that would be an ok compromise. No time making a large pokedex with new entries for all of them, but we could at least transfer them in.

Game Freak usually just copy-pastes the pokedex entries from prior generations.

They imply it will be more normal catching methods.

We haven't see the battle UI yet, but I doubt they'll keep Strong/Agile Styles in the game.

Strong and Agile styles won't ever in a game with VGC support.

New info drop: 5 new pokemon revealed, including the 2 Box legendaries; a rival and 2 professors.



Lechonk, Normal type pig.
Smoliv, a Grass/Normal sentient olive.
Pawmi, an Electric (presumably) regional rodent.

And the Box Legendaries are Koraidon (Scarlet) and Miraidon (Violet).
Koraidon is distinctly natural looking, while Miraidon is distinctly futuristic looking (it has jets on its glutes/butt); just my 2 cents.
